OlDog75 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Sad story but glad this little guy got his wish: Terminally ill child dies in Santa's arms
jericho Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I hate these sad stories so much. I can't imagine being that parent.
UKMustangFan Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Nope. I'm sure it's a great, touching story, but there's no way I can bring myself to open that link.
lawildcat Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I read it. I cried my eyes out. I decided I couldn't even get through posting this story without breaking down again. Thanks for posting.

I admit UKMF, when you have kids of your own it does affect you differently. However, you'll do anything for them to help ease their fears.
HammerTime Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I admit UKMF, when you have kids of your own it does affect you differently. However, you'll do anything for them to help ease their fears. This times a million. I saw a story about some 12 year old on FB yesterday that wanted Christmas cards. I sent him one, I probably wouldn't have done that in that past. Getting a little dusty in here after reading that story.
Beechwoodfan Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Really puts your own problems in perspective.
nkypete Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Sad in one sense, but I'm also thinking of all the lives (starting with the little boy, the family and Santa) who have been touched in a positive way. Additionally, with this story going viral, numerous people are now taking a moment to reevaluate what is really important about this time of year and then possibly going over and giving their own children big hugs.
lawildcat Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Story may not be true. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/viral-story-santa-meeting-dying-child-not-true-article-1.2910864
BirdBrain Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Story may not be true. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/viral-story-santa-meeting-dying-child-not-true-article-1.2910864 This was a hot story on the evening news..part of the issue is the inability to confirm (according to the hospital) that this actually occurred. I hope it did... If it didn't, and this "stand in" Santa made this up as a stolen valor story...the sentence should be that he not be allowed to play Santa....to include the white hair, beard and all...
lawildcat Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 In this guy's defense, the reason the newspaper cannot confirm the story is because he won't give the child's name or location to protect the privacy of the family. I can dig that.
Clyde Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 In this guy's defense, the reason the newspaper cannot confirm the story is because he won't give the child's name or location to protect the privacy of the family. I can dig that. News checked with area hospitals who said they do not know of this happening on their hospital.
Wireman Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 This story bothered me so bad that I wouldn't even click on it for the whole week...then I saw a headline that said it might not be true. I hate people sometimes.
