December 7, 20169 yr That should be $800K, not $8K in the title of your link. Not your mistake, Clyde.
December 7, 20169 yr Why? Use of force, training issue. The department is revising its policy. The way he acted wasn't in their policy necessarily but it's not enough to fire him or lock him up.
December 7, 20169 yr Use of force, training issue. The department is revising its policy. The way he acted wasn't in their policy necessarily but it's not enough to fire him or lock him up. So she attempts to murder a cop and her family gets 800K?
December 7, 20169 yr Why? This is pretty standard in lawsuits. The fiscal court is at the mercy of the insurance company. If the insurance company wants to settle, there is not a lot the public agency can do. The way it works, whether the fiscal court likes it or not. My guess is the settlement might go over what the insurance company is required to pay. I have been on the end of believing, along with our attorneys believing we would win in court but the insurance company said no we will settle. I wasn't happy and didn't agree, but it didn't matter.
December 7, 20169 yr So she attempts to murder a cop and her family gets 800K? She was attempting to drive off, he jumped on her car. Both parties made mistakes.
December 7, 20169 yr Knew it was going to happen soon. The family turned down an offer just prior to thanksgiving. Can't wait to get all of the details from my liberal buddy who was involved in the case.
December 10, 20169 yr She was shot by a cop who was impaired and out of control . . . The officer was impaired?
December 10, 20169 yr Newspaper article I read in the Enquirer said that he had prescription drugs in him that impaired his ability to act .
December 10, 20169 yr The officer was impaired? Part of the settlement talks about use of prescription drugs in the workplace.
