I don't tweet and have never read his tweets or anyone elses. I don't think your political point is valid when it comes to American jobs. Somebody always gets paid at the top. No jobs, no middle class. Unless your wealthy and the 1% I would think you have a vested interest in our president being successful on this issue. But you will cut of your nose in spite of your face just in hopes that you say I told you so. I can't say how stupid that thought process is to me. I wanted Obama to succeed for two reasons, The average American needs economic opportunities, and him being the first black president I thought he could heal a nation. Unfortunately he was too partisan and couldn't get out of his own way. His loser comments, the back of the car crap didn't win over anyone. He I promised the most transparent and ran the most secretive administration. The only thing that was transparent was his hate of the right.

This is the kind of thing (bullying companies and individuals) that caused me to hesitate before voting for Trump. I want to keep jobs in this country, but threatening companies with tariffs, bribing them with targeted tax incentives, and intimidating them with threats to exclude them from competing for future federal contracts is not the right way to keep jobs here. The fact that Paul Begala supports Trump's actions should raise a big red flag for conservatives.

 

Obama has abused his presidential power for eight years, I want Trump to respect the U.S. Constitution, not take his turn at abusing it.

Actually, it's an interesting contrast. When Obama intervened to save jobs he was a socialist undermining the free market. When Trump does it he's a patriot trying to help keep these hard-working people employed. A lot has changed in eight years...

 

It has changed, when Bush and Obama did these things it was unchatarted water for the federal government. Now it seems to be more common place. Obama may have been unfairly critized. The only angst I see is cherry picking some businesses while letting others fail. I'm all for saving jobs period.

I will defend Trump to the hilt when I believe he is right, but when he acts like Obama, I will criticize him the same way that I have criticized Obama for the past 8 years. We need a president who can place his ego below the Constitution and restore the federal balance of power. This nation cannot withstand many more Obamas.
