The end of next week.....

Looks like we are in for a Wild Ride weather wise. :thumb:

On Thursday the 8th we could see high temps in the low to mid 60s to low to mid 20s by Friday morning. Precipitation wise some could go from thunderstorms on Thursday to accumulating snow by Friday. Maybe 1-2" of snow accumulation by the time the storm passes. This is mainly north of I-64. From a dusting to 1" south of I-64.

Please take note of the single digit temps in Missouri by Friday Morning.

I'll post updates as we get closer.

I'm wanting to see the next model run or two before I post anything but if the trend continues the possible light snow next week will be nothing compared to what the GFS is showing for the week of the 12th. For now

I'm truly amazed at what the GFS model is showing for the weekend of the 16th! If what it is showing happens. Parts of western Tennessee and northern Arkansas will face very significant icing. Some there could see 1.24" of ice. Parks of extreme eastern/southeastern Kentucky, especially in the Pikeville area could see anywhere from .5-.75" of ice. These totals will cause significant power outages. Maybe for days. Especially if the following actually happens

Now for the white stuff. The GFS is showing almost all of Kentucky getting anywhere from 15-21" of snow!

Let me caution everyone this is about two weeks away and don't consider this as any type of prediction. I just wanted to let everyone know what I'm seeing and if you are so inclined to start preparation incase this does come into fruition.

We go back to Cleveland the 13th. What will the conditions be like up there and back?

Highs in the mid 20s. Light snow possible 1-2".

Welcome to KY. If you don't like the weather, just hang on for a day or two. It will change.

Thanks. :thumb:

Come on NWO snow does no good on the weekends. Can we push it forward so that schools are closed that Friday?

But seriously, thanks for the heads up!

I think the end of next week any snow accumulations will be very light if any at all. Its the following weekend, the weekend before Christmas that I'm watching closely.

We would be out through the next Friday with that much snow.

If the southern part of the state gets that much snow, I'm headed to the lake to get my boat out of the slip. Last year several were sunk with a heavy snow and the slips collapsed. I'm not riding that train.

Don't blame you. That is why nWo's forecasts are so important to us here on BGP. :thumb:

To heck with this, I'm going to Florida.

That doesn't really go with your name too well. :D
