Yep. We have non refundable reservations for Thursday night. Scrambling today to get rooms for Friday.

I'm curious, how do you have a non refundable hotel reservation? Any hotel reservation I have ever made you could cancel up to 24 hours prior without penalty. I don't think I have ever had a non refundable reservation. What if your team had lost Friday? If you made your reservations prior to the schedule being final, and you don't have a cancellation policy that allows you to make changes, then you were really taking a big risk.

 

People should call and complain non stop to khsaa. It's not like money grows on trees.

As to the bold, you are incorrect. The dates were announced in July as "tentative" schedule. The press release stated that facility availability could alter that schedule. It was discussed on here various times that WKU hosting the conference championship would mean a change was necessary.

A lot of hotels offer a very good discount online if you take the non-refundable option. The only time I use it is if I know for sure nothing is going to change. Also, I think if you go through Priceline or something similar, the hotels are non-refundable.

Correct, but I wouldn't think you would have done it before Friday not knowing if your team was going to win and also knowing there was still a possibility of WKU hosting a playoff game.

Sorry that is a cop out statement...there is NO excuse why they should playing these games at WKU knowing they could be changed...this is a lack of consideration on Julian Tackett's part to those who have to travel great distances to get to a game of a lifetime only it to be changed on them.

Sure we could, but they didn't want it.

This will never happen (but it should). Warren Central has as nice of a field as you will see in the bluegrass. Although their stands are not that great, atleast it would be near full capacity. For me, i like a meaningful game (state championship) to be played in front of a packed house. I would choose to play in a venue with standing room only than a stadium that is 80% empty

I call it how I see it...been around this game a long time...this is poor management on the part of Julian Tackett...not the first time he has made poor decisions like this. I will keep it at that.

Gees all this belly aching because a few things has to be changed. It is called LIFE. Come work with me at my job for 12 hours and when you walk out the door with me, you would probably say...a little inconvenience is not all that bad is it and thank the Good Lord we are alive and can be aggravated and also go watch some good football games. No facility that has been mentioned is perfect, but the finals at WKU have been great IMO. I do understand some of the frustration with logistics, but there are more important things in life.
