How bad will USC beat them next week?

I believe in 5 of their losses they have had double digit leads. They shouldn't have the record that they do. Unless they can get Texas Tom to come here or Peterson from Washington. I think you have to keep Kelly one more year, but he definitely will be on the hot seat going into next year now.

Probably not bad at all. In fact it will probably be a one score game that Notre Dame has a lead in but ends up losing by a score.

Texas Tom is TEXAS Tom for a reason. Peterson is PNW type of guy, no way he comes to Midwest Notre Dame.

Agreed and that is why I think Kelly is safe going into next year. There is no top Coach available to go get who doesn't also already have a top job. I think he will get one more year but will definitely be on the hot seat going into the season.

I wasn't surprised that Virginia Tech came back, I was far more surprised that Notre Dame was up as they were earlier in the game.

I don't either. Honestly I'm not sure he would get an interview. But I think he will be a good hire for whatever power 5 school hires him this year or next.

Why? Notre Dame has done that all year in basically every game the lost. I think there was actually only one game that Notre Dame lost that they didn't have a double digit lead on that team.

 

That's why against USC, don't be surprised if it a close game with Notre Dame looking good and having a lead. Only to see USC go on a big run to win it by a possession or two at the end.

We were at the game. I think Brian Kelly is an outstanding coach. But, I did disagree with one decision....they could have had the wind at their back for the 4th quarter and did not do so. The wind was a factor in the kicking game/field position in the 4th quarter.
