November 17, 20169 yr It's funny what we assume everyone knows. I would have lost this bet. Me too. Love TED talks.
November 17, 20169 yr You suddenly find yourself headed on-stage for your own TED Talk. With no prior planning, what's a topic you could fluently discuss in an informative manner for 20 minutes? Seducing a Woman And I love TED Talks and WoW @UKMustangFan
November 17, 20169 yr How To Be Super Awesome Man, if BF was still around, he could give a TED on how to pick a runner out of a crowd. Seriously, still one of my all time faves on this site. I laugh every time I think of it.
November 17, 20169 yr Black Friday, Shoplifting and Internal Theft...basically anything to do with Walmart and retailing. How to change a water heater or rebuild a toilet. Most recently how to make a Rustic American Flag from wood...on #4 now. West Wing, Justified and M*A*S*H television series. I can ramble on about a lot of useless stuff...ask my wife.
November 17, 20169 yr I know what TED talk is, and they have an annual TED-X event in town, but I have never watched one.
November 17, 20169 yr I didn't know either. Be prepared for multiple people to question whether you're being truthful or not...
November 17, 20169 yr Author For me... -Common mistakes, overlooked issues, and "should've dones" in the home-building process. -The events leading up to, during, and following The Band's final show, and the making of the film "The Lazt Waltz" that documented the concert. -The history of brewing beer in Greater Cincinnati. -The history, mechanics and process of building a flintlock rifle.
November 17, 20169 yr Author I didn't know either. Be prepared for multiple people to question whether you're being truthful or not... For what it's worth, I'd bet there are upwards of 1000 of them available to watch on the internet now covering ALL KINDS of different topics. If you've got 20 minutes to burn, then I'd definitely suggest. And UKMF...one of my good friends said not too long ago that there's no better way out there for a dad to handle a middle of the night bottle feeding than to do it with earbuds in and a TED Talk on his phone or tablet while he's giving his newborn a bottle. That nugget may be of some use to you in the not-so-distant future.
November 17, 20169 yr Be prepared for multiple people to question whether you're being truthful or not... I never question your truthfulness.
