November 9, 20169 yr I thought I'd start a thread to discuss Trump's Cabinet appointments as they are announced and our thoughts on who would be good in each position.
November 9, 20169 yr He's going to cobble together a really interesting group of people from among his supporters and it'll be a "Who's Who" among people that are longtime enemies of the Democrats. Giuliani, Gingrich, etc...
November 9, 20169 yr Author Attorney General - I could see Gowdy or Giuliani Sec of the Interior - Don't laugh, I won't be shocked if he put Palin in this job...she can handle Parks, Right? Sec State - Rumors of Christie, not a fan of that right off...Gingrich, could be good there

November 9, 20169 yr Author Ben Carson as Sec of Health & Human Services is one I've heard quite a bit. Also hearing his name with Education as well.
November 9, 20169 yr While I never wanted Ginrich as president, if I were president, I would want him somewhere in my cabinet. While I don't care for him, guy is incredibly intelligent. Sec of State maybe? I also have to believe Chris Christie will be considered. He or Rudi as Atty Gen? Ben Carson as Health and Human Services? I think there was a general Obama fired that Trump really liked but cannot think which one, Chrystal maybe. Whoever it is as Sec of Def? Sec of Agriculture hmmm. Possibly a senator or rep from a farm state. Sec of Labor no clue. His has never been considered anti union as far as I know so I really have no idea. Sec of Commerce - no clue Sec of Education - not sure Sec of Energy - same, no idea Sec of Homeland Security - probably a retired general or chief of a large police department Sec of HUD - no idea Sec of Interior - Palin would be humorous Sec of Transportation - no idea Sec of Vetrans Affairs - no idea Chief of Staff - no idea National security advisor - no idea
November 9, 20169 yr Author Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn will be somewhere IMO, probably National Security Advisor. Hasn't been out of the military long enough to be SecDef, you have to be 7 years removed from the Military before becoming SecDef unless Congress gives a waiver.
November 9, 20169 yr I am very interested in Trump's cabinet. This should be a strength of his. As a great businessman, he has had to build teams around him, let them do their job and then hold them accountable.
November 9, 20169 yr Any chance of Trump picking someone from across the aisle? I would personally love that and I would think it would show that Trump does have the maturity to be president, but I don't think his voters would like this.

I would not be against it if whoever it was the best choice. There are good democrats also. Probably would make the transition better.
