Very cool interview from this cat on Fox News. He says that we may not know a winner until tomorrow morning. He also says that his hypothesis is that folks in polls saying they were voting for Johnson(8-12%) ended up voting for Trump.

That is what I expected would happen with many third-party voters. Hillary was running for Obama's third term and was the closest thing to an incumbent in the race. Late deciders typically break to the challenger.

 

Many people, including me, who were angry at the GOP did consider voting third-party as a protest of Trump's nomination. It makes sense that many of us decided that four more years of Hillary Clinton pursuing Obama's agenda would be four too many.

 

I expect that four years of Trump will make it difficult for Republicans to retain the White House in 2020, but I hope that he proves me wrong.

Clinton will probably win the popular vote count due to huge wins in Cali and NY. I'd say most Clinton supporters will be calling for an end to the electoral college process.

I don't think that's the lesson from tonight at all. Trump tapped into something real and powerful. Clinton isn't performing much worse than Obama in most Democratic strongholds. Trump, however, is absolutely running circles around what Romney managed to in small towns four years ago. Red counties are redder than ever. To me, that's a sign that these folks have found something in Trump that really resonated with them.

IMO, many more votes were against Hillary Clinton than for Donald Trump. I think liberals greatly underestimate how bad of a candidate she was. Hillary drove Republican turnout more than Trump did. I despise Trump, but I voted for him to deny Hillary Clinton the White House, and millions of Trump voters felt the same.

 

As an employee working in the DoD, I receive the same kind of training about protecting national security as she did at the State Department. I know that if I did what she did, I would have been fired, fined, and most likely sentenced to a very long prison term. My vote had nothing to do with Donald Trump. I voted Republican despite the fact that he was the nominee. I know many people who feel the same as I do about Trump and Hillary.
