What happens to the Clintons if HRC loses?

Featured Replies

I know it is still a big "if" but if she loses next week (and it seems much more possible than a week ago), what happens to the Clintons? I predict that their lives will almost immediately be ruined. Think about it...

(1) She will still be under FBI investigations for years. Whether you think she is innocent or guilty, being under FBI investigation is no fun.

(2) With neither of them ever being able to hold office again, her staff will now all be looking for jobs and may be ready to "talk" if pressured by the FBI. In short, they could turn on them to save their behinds.

(3) The Dems (and probably the mainstream media) will turn on them immediately. They will no longer need the Clintons and will be very mad at her for somehow managing to lose to a terrible candidate like Trump.

(4) The Clinton Foundation may as well shut down. Who is going to donate millions to anything with the Clinton name on it if she loses. We all know that most of the money donated to that Foundation was at least in some part due to potential influence that HRC as president could give.

(5) Their speaking fees will dry up almost immediately. Who is going to pay them 6 figures to give a speech when they are under FBI investigation and after she lost the election?

(6) Obviously, the R's will continue to hate everything Clinton and will take great pleasure in watching them suffer and maybe go to jail.

I really think the Clintons may as well move to their own private island and live on the hundred million or more they have "earned" since Bill was president. They won't have many friends to talk to IMO...

I hope that you are right about the Clintons' lives being ruined, but I do not believe that you are. I expect that Obama will pardon Hillary and her mob if she loses and he will claim that he is doing so because Republicans will play politics with the investigations of Clinton, Inc. and their so-called charity. The Clintons will never be held accountable for their crimes.

Agree 100%

Yes, she will be Pardoned before the President leaves Office. I think she may be Pardoned even if she wins.

President can not pardon state crimes, only Federal.

Weiner was under investigation for under-age sex crimes that violate state law.

Do not forget Jerry Epstein.

Weiner is being investigated by the FBI (Federal Crime) if you use the internet to do what he did it's automatically Federal if they want it to be. State can take the case also, but if Feds want it, it is theirs.

Jerry Epstein is the Scandal that I actually expected might come out during this election.

President can Pardon for "Uncharged Federal Crimes" even before an Indictment comes down.

Hopefully they move on and let the democrats become better going forward. I have to think if she loses the democrats will part ways with their family.

The words she doesn't want to hear are "It's Attorney General Christie calling for you" :D

Can't believe a President can pardon someone for "Uncharged Federal Crimes"?? Seriously??

Loretta lynch and Kadsick should be tried for obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting a felon.

The Clinton's new palace.

Yes. Here is the legal precedent...

The leading Supreme Court case is Ex parte Garland (1867). Justice Stephen J. Field, writing for the Court in a 5-4 decision, held that the President's pardoning power is ''unlimited,'' and ''It extends to every offense known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment.''

In Murphy v. Ford (1975), a Federal District Court in Michigan rejected a suit for a declaratory judgment that President Ford's unconditional pardon of Richard M. Nixon was unconstitutional. The court found that the President had the constitutional power to grant a pre-indictment pardon, citing Ex parte Garland in its support.

And for Trump, he doesn't want to see a guy walk in and say, "I'm Chris Hansen, with Dateline, and we are doing a show on 70 -year perverts who show up to meet 12 year-old girls."

Nor would Bill Clinton. :thumb:

The difference to me is one was in office being corrupt and one was in the private sector being an idiot. I'm not proud of either, actually ashamed of both, but Hillary sold the public out for her gain. Donald is an egomaniac. Those ladies should have filed charges earlier. I think he is guilty but they can't win waiting until now to call him out.

I think Trump is innocent of most, if not all of the recent allegations against him. There are older allegations that are much more convincing than the extremely timely (for Hillary) allegations made during this campaign.
