Clemson 37 Florida State 34

Featured Replies

Clemson continues to find ways to win big games, fun game to watch last night. Watson's fourth quarter career stats are amazing.

Clemson barely escaped again. Louisville came within a misjudged first down marker by a receiver of beating them on their home field, and now FSU plays them to the wire. They're good, but a little lucky too.

Wasn't the Cards a little lucky in the Virginia game as well?

Yes, they were.

The fine was every bit worth it.

There was a penalty where Jimbo had the choice of giving Clemson 4th & 13 or 3rd & 23, both out of FG range. Jimbo chose 3rd & 23 and Clemson got the 1st down on the next play. For me, I'd rather give my opponent 1 chance to get 13 yds than give them 2 shots to make 23.

I was saying the same thing. I'm not an FSU fan, but I was rooting for them hard last night and couldn't believe he accepted that penalty. 4th and 1 or 3rd and 11 I understand. But 4th and 13? What are their odds of converting that? 10-15%? It didn't matter because Clemson picked the 23 yards up on the first play, but I was shocked with that decision as well.
