The Walking Dead (Season 7)

I think TWD has to be careful with its fans this season. They are already riled up after last night's show. If they go overboard with shaming Rick and company all season long, I'm afraid some fans will walk away. It's going to be really odd watching them "submit" to Negan

I thought the Season 7 premiere had to deliver, considering the debacle finale from Season 6. There isn't anything wrong with cliffhangers, but when you sell a death like they did & then fail to deliver it...well, that's bad IMO. But I really think Kirkman & Company nailed this last night. I would expect ratings to be the highest in show history.

They did a great job with Glenn's makeup. That eye popping out was something else. The sadistic side of me chuckled a few times when looking at Glenn after he met Lucille.

Come on now Rick will eventually build up his courage.

Glad that Glenn got axed.... err... Lucilled, as he was living on borrowed time. No 6" high dumpsters for him to crawl under this time. I thought the show did a tremendous job of building a little suspense, but not dragging it out too long. Really nice job on capturing all that it took to make Rick break.

Yeah, just makes me hate the dumpster crap even more.

This show has its moments. The finale last year would have ended almost perfectly if they had ended it without the cliff hanger.

I thought they did a good job with the premiere, just drug it out a little too long.

I didn't think it was drug out too long. You had to have some suspense. I think last season should have ended with one death, then another to leave the crowd waiting.

RIP Abraham "suck my ....." That was awesome

Liked his character.

Couldn't keep the ginger meathead, he wasn't going to conform to what Negan wanted from the group.

"We are neck deep up ... creek with our mouths wide open" was another great line :lol2:

I didn't think it was drug out to long. But, if they would have tried to update storylines on Carol and Morgan before the killings. That would have been too much.

Does Maggie hold any resentment toward Daryl for his outburst that got Glenn Lucille'd?

Really solid episode.

I know the episode was meant to show the process of Rick breaking to Negan and his crew, but it also (I assume intentionally) let us know why Negan picked Abraham.

Will the new group the Kingdom fight Negan or are they also slaves to him?

Last night's episode was dramatic and emotional and very well done.

That being said, it's just not entertaining to me anymore. I guess I liked the survival aspect of the show more than all of this drama.

Too many avenues to escape something like a dictator like Negan to stick around and fight him.

Just head west out in to the wild blue yonder.

There's going to be some type of Negan anywhere you go, but I agree, go a couple hundred miles in a different direction.

They were trying to do that and every road out of town was blocked.

I would take my crew and go as far as possible to the mountains and hole up in a safe place and make it even safer.
