October 20, 20169 yr Author 1) How are you going to pay for it? The countries with free post-secondary education don't have near the population we do. This would be so insanely expensive and add so much money to the debt it isn't even funny. 2) We need to focus more on developing high school students with the skills necessary to get and maintain a job after graduation. College isn't for everyone. 3) If we make college free like K-12 is, then pretty soon college will be mandatory like K-12 is. Then what are employers going to use to evaluate to differentiate potential candidates if everyone has a bachelors degree. So pretty soon more and more people will be going to graduate school. Going to school until you're in your late twenties is not a country I want to live in. I don't think everyone is going to be forced to go like the first 13 years. There will be acceptance standards, but the idea is to allow our educated to get out with out the crippling debt they may have. Why be a teacher to pull in 30 a year after taxes and pay out the rear for loans. Down to 25...lots of non degree jobs pay 25 plus after taxes.

October 20, 20169 yr You can't make college free for people who make under $125k. Do you realize how expensive that is? There is no way to pay for that. That is the worst idea I've ever heard of. How about making sure students come out of High School with the skills necessary to get a job. College isn't for everyone. She is a very good and calculated politician, going after the Millennials and the young vote.

But imo we need to decrease the number of people going to college not increase it. This will only increase it. I know the High School I attended has built a career and technology center. Students are graduating with certifications in automotive tech, welding, electrical tech, and business certifications. Most of the students that come out of these programs graduate with a job waiting for them the day they graduate. I think we need to start promoting this is as serviceable alternative to college.

In fact, she did a much better job at walking toward questioners than Trump did. Trump stood too close to his podium and looked uncomfortable in the town hall format. At times, it looked like Trump was towering over Hillary because she walked past him and the camera angles showed him behind her, when he was actually fairly stationary. She seemed much more comfortable in that format than she does tonight.
