Recently purchased a season ticket package. The sales rep told me they expected about 700 season tickets. I know there are a ton of alternatives in the area (UC, XU, UK, UofL, high school, etc), but I thought it might be higher.

I'm anxious to see what they have, and hope to be a part of a program on the uptick. I think it says something when Mr Basketball chooses the program. First time in the history of the award that has happened.

What are the expectations this year?

.500 or above. Be better. Give us alums and fans hope that better days are close.

That will be a successful season. I think Coach B is on the right track.

Still a bottom half of the Horizon League team, although, if a Norse fan, I'd like my chances of contending for the Conference title in 2017-2018.

They are a stock on the rise, but this isn't their year.

I think .500 would be VERY optimistic with their schedule.

I think .500 is a very reachable goal. They must play well in their pre-conference part of the schedule to do this, however.

After speaking with coach Brannen a few weeks ago, he knows he has work to do. I think he needs to get his players and system in place and it will be a couple of years in the making. Rome wasn't built in a day. Good luck to the Norse.

I see at least 7 losses pre-Horizon play, probably 8, that is a lot to overcome to get back to .500.

Hope I'm wrong, I like John a lot and am rooting for him to be successful. I hope he shows Miami how bad their decision was to hire John Cooper over him a few years ago.
