Bengals/Patriots Updates

Scrambling and finding someone get open while running around is not going throw your progressions. It is the scrammble drill all teams practice when a qb leaves the pocket. Dalton has always done a great job spreading the ball around, but it's not because of him going threw his progressions. It's because of him knowing where to go with the ball before the ball is snapped. Which is why he has always been in the top 3 in release time. It's not him looking at one and then getting down to his second or third options. Usually it's his first read and if that is not there he will try to dump it off. His previous read snaps has always been his strength.

Again, it's not just scrambling... he only scrambles when 1st, 2nd and 3rd options etc are covered...

You act as if, his first read is covered and so he just scrambles after that...

And I'm disagreeing... like most veteran Pro QB's.. he goes through his progressions and then scrambles...

Still a hold.

I see that same play several times a weekend and its not called probably 50-75% of the time.

Which is where we disagree. I have said Dalton is not good at going through progressions, and struggles when teams take away his first option based off of his pre read. Which plenty of evidence through the years supports that.

Either way we can continue this later. That dang safety has changed all the momentum. Come on Bengals

No need to continue... we aren't changing minds...

That safety did suck big time!

That is what is so impressive to me about the Patriots coaching staff is their in game adjustments. The way the Bengals were getting to Brady the previous drive this drive they adjust and do just quick 3 step drops and slants and gash the Bengals D all the way down the field.

I feel like I have been on a prom date. Big tease and probably no results.

Hard to trust Bengals coaches with a tight game... for sure

Same play they ran before the half and the same result. I'm getting a bad feeling we don't score here this one could be over. I guess get ready for the Packers and Cowboys.

Dansby is really showing his age this last 2 games... knows where to be, but can't get there in time...

Well the Patriots are hitting their stride and the Bengals are floundering.

Good news I guess is that XP miss keeps it to 11.

Didn't realize that TV said last possession was a grand total of 26 sec.

Had to laugh at this. Listening to game on XM. Pats announcer said the Bengals season hangs in the balance before the 4th down play.
