Name Your Top 8 Teams Right Now

Featured Replies

Okay, we are halfway through the season and it's time to start looking at the top 7-8 teams and who will eventually be playing for a national title.

Name your top 8 teams right now...

Take a shot at the top 4 right now...

I'll go:

1. Alabama

2. Clemson

3. Michigan

4. Washington

5. Ohio State

6. Texas A&M

7. Louisville

8. Wisconsin

Top 4 right now:

- Alabama

- Winner of Michigan/Ohio State/Wisconsin

- Clemson

- Washington

All 8 teams have legitimate shots if they take care of business. Wisconsin and Ohio State next weekend is HUGE. Alabama and Texas A&M in a few weeks is big. Washington is rolling and they only have one more tough game on the schedule. Louisville probably needs the most help at this point.

Based on what I've seen to this point...

1) Alabama

2) Ohio State

3) Clemson

4) Michigan

5) Louisville

6) Texas A&M

7) Washington

8) Ugh... Who knows. Baylor maybe?

Current projection forward to the playoff:

1) Alabama vs. 4) Washington

2) Ohio State vs. 3) Clemson

I chose Wisconsin because they can still win out and that would include a win over Ohio State. But they lost to Michigan, which could lose to OSU. Not sure what happens then.

The best wins for a lot of teams are slowly losing their shine. FSU hasn't helped Louisville. Michigan State and LSU haven't helped Wisconsin. Stanford isn't helping Washington.

It's making picks beyond the top four very tough for me.

The thing for Wisconsin though is that they still have a chance to beat OSU. Of course, OSU still has a chance to beat Wisconsin and Michigan.

Louisville has to win out and hope for a little help. Alabama is in a tough stretch but they seem unbeatable. Washington looks really really good. It's going to be fun to keep up with.

1. Ohio State

2. Alabama

3. Clemson

4. Michigan (this really pains me)

5. Washington

6. Louisville

7. A&M

8. Wisconsin

Projecting to playoff:

1. Ohio State 13-0

2. Washington 13-0

3. Alabama 12-1 loss to A&M

4. Clemson 12-1 loss to FSU

Do you guys think a 2 loss SEC champion would make the playoff?

And does Washington make the playoff if they drop a game, but still win the PAC 12?

That Michigan/Ohio State match up is huge.

1-Alabama

2-Michigan

3-Ohio State

4-Clemson

5-Washington

6-Texas A&M

7-Louisville

8-(tie) Wisconsin & Tennessee

Not over Louisville or the Ohio State/ Michigan loser IMO. But the SEC won't have a 2 loss winner imo so it won't matter.

Right now ....this season

4. Louisville

5. Washington

6. Texas A & M

7. Michigan

8. Wisconsin ??

I'm surprised the rankings didn't come out today.

They didn't come out because South Carolina and Georgia played yesterday not Saturday.

1 - Alabama

2 - Michigan

3 - Ohio State

4 - Clemson

5 - Washington

6 - Texas A&M

7 - Louisville

8 - Baylor
