The idea of the thread is that if you can't make a case for your candidate without slamming the other one, how good can the case FOR your candidate really be? The Trump (or anti-Hillary) camp seem to be the most vocal, so I wanted to hear the arguments WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.

Just because someone wants to vote for Trump doesn't mean I thnk they are racist or a bigot, and nothing I have said would suggest that.

I will vote for Trump mainly because he isn't a Democrat. I cannot vote for a candidate that supports abortion and will take the SCOTUS far Left.

 

Amen. PLANNED PARENTHOOD has killed over 14 million black children since it's inception. If you care about black people there is no way you are okay with that. Hate Trump, Hate Clinton a million times more.

With only 6% of the black vote this may surprise a few folks, but Trump might just make a real effort to build back up our inner cites. Schools, attract new business, safer communities.

 

Trade, looking out for the American middle class .

 

Holding people accountable to get the job done, without cheating the tax payor.

 

Protect the 2nd ammendment.

 

Cleanup immigration, and slowdown the flow of drugs across the Mexican boarder.

 

Work for all the people, not for just the elites. He is receiving the least amount of big business help of any canidate I can remember.

While Trump is not the prototype candidate I feel somehow while he has been running he has taken on this mentality that he really is the hope for America. He is 70 years old. He is famous. He has money. He is not a politician( I think we can all agree with that). He dont need anything. Sometimes people are changed by events and it can happen quick. This is Trump or I feel he has to some degree after really being on a campaign trail and hearing the people. Now is he a angel? Nope. But he is not a career politician that has alot to lose.

 

I have thought long and hard about all this. Can anyone tell me when both a sitting president and other presidents, even opposing parties have attacked a candidate, much less the candidate from their party. Now I hear the argument that they think he is unfit. But this has never happened. Follow this. $$$$. Thats whats at stake here. Power. He cant be controlled. Thats been proven by himself, almost to the point of destruction.

 

After this election I trust not one news media outlet. They are as crooked as Washington. Folks I dont know if Trump is the answer, but I know this. The way things have been done in the past is certainly not the answer. We do need change, but not whats been given so far. We need someone who is fair and just to help our country thats for all the people. Who is it? Hillary Clinton? Absolutely not. Trump? I dont know. I have to hope.

4.Trump will rebuild our military and protect the nation because he is not beholden to any foreign government

5.Trump will surround himself with knowledgeable people and appoint people to his cabinet that are qualified for the position, not just as an IOU

6.Trump will appoint SCOTUS justices that align with my beliefs

7.Trump is a flawed candidate but so is everyone I know so I believe him when he says he has found a renewed faith and is a work in progress

8.Trump and the RNC has a much stronger platform, check out the RNC and DNC platforms and judge for yourself which you support

9.Lastly any vote not made for Trump will mean the destruction of our country as we know it because it will become one large country without borders and the decisions affecting us personally and politically will no longer made for what is best for us they will be made to benefit globally

They sound like really shallow people, much like some of the supporters for his opposition. Most of the people I know voting for Trump tell me they are doing so because they believe he will lower taxes, he will seriously make an effort to stop illegal immigration (I say good luck with that), they think he will protect the 2nd amendment, he will negotiate better trade deals, they think he will return manufacturing jobs to the US, make the military stronger, keep the US safer, and they think he will come up with a better solution to health care. They also want Trump because they know he'll make better choices for the SC.

 

These all seem like legit reasons without mentioning You know who. I would add the deficit as a major concern for me!

I have said before, that I caucused for Cruz, but only because Carson had already dropped out. I am left with Trump as the only choice I can make. I believe he is the more Conservative candidate and that he is more likely to choose Supreme Court Justices who will lean more toward the type of decisions that I am in favor of, on issues I care about. I believe he will be better at turning around our stagnant economy and creating good jobs that pay good wages, unlike the part time low wage jobs that have been the norm in the past 8 years. I believe he, with help from Congress, can craft a healthcare plan that will stem the tide of doctor retirements, soaring costs and eroding health plan choices. I believe that he will be a better choice for stemming the flood of illegal immigration into the country which will also help to raise wages for legal immigrants and citizens. I believe he will be a supporter of law and order, a big change from what we have now. My thumb hurts, so I have to stop here, for now.
