People dressed as cops were able to get in and detained her and her security is the way I understood it. She was in Paris for Fashion Week so it is normal for folks to get celebrities to wear their jewelry and clothing during appearances. She had about 10M in all in jewelry. One ring was worth almost 5M by itself. The robbers seized control of her inside the apartment she was staying at and got what they wanted.

October 3, 201610 yr Author Still not sold. Happened right in the middle of Kaynes concert. Make a big dramatic exit. He's been on tour all year. Odds are at least 50/50 he'd be in the middle of a concert if something happened to her. Plus he gains nothing by bailing in the middle of a concert.

October 3, 201610 yr Interesting take. At this point I assume everything they do is a publicity stunt. I recognize it's probably not fair, but I can't help but think they (i.e. Kardashians) are doing everything they can to stay in the spotlight. Is that entirely fair? Nope. Regarding the second point: it's harsh. Nobody should be robbed at gun point no matter of how wealthy or famous you might be. But when you go around flaunting things and making a spectacle out of everything you purchase, it's bound to happen. Again, it doesn't make it right, but I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner.
