I believe the point the others are making is that since Jeff only read four votes for Hannah then stopped, everyone knows Hannah only had four votes. If Hannah had five votes, Jeff would have shown all five before going to the Zeke votes. That tells everyone Will voted for Zeke even though Jeff only showed three Zeke votes.

You sure? Jeff read 4 votes for Hannah and then 3 for Zeke and then Zeke was gone. I thought the same thing as VoR when I saw the vote tally.

He only read 3 votes for Zeke because the first 4 were for Hannah meaning only 5 votes left. Since the 4 against Hannah didn't count, and there are only 5 left that means 3 gives you the majority of the votes. The other 2 were meaningless with regards to who went home. They were also both for Zeke too. The producers of the show put the votes in the order they want them showed before Jeff reads them. So if there were anymore Hannah votes they would have shown them and if there were votes for anyone but Zeke they would have shown them too.

I don't. If he just drew them out, for instance you don't know how many people voted for a single person because once you get to the majority he stops reading the votes. So for instance last week he could have pulled the first 5 votes out for Zeke and he would have went home and Hannah wouldn't have known people voted for her. The way they read the votes is to give everyone the most information possible about who voted who.

Which I think would be awesome, if they didn't have all that information. Maybe someone wouldn't know how close they were to having their head chopped off.

 

Besides, what are the statically odds that if there were five votes for someone and four for someone else, that he'd draw out five straight for the same person? I would rather the Producers not mess with it.

Well actually I'm going to agree with you there. It would certainly add a different dynamic to the game if you didn't have all the info.

I can't believe everybody hates Ken's move so much. Will is the one who decided to make a move for the sake of making a move. Ken asked him if he was for real then tested him right away. If Will was serious about switching sides it wouldn't matter because they would have the majority and Ken made sure to burn that bridge to the other side for Will. Will wanted to sit at the big kids table and Ken gave him a chair but let him know he was never going to sit at the head.

I liked Ken until he made that bonehead move. Isn't that the same thing Jess did to him earlier in the game? He should have talked to his group about what Will told him, not the enemy.

It's a crap move by Ken. Him going over to Jay and letting Jay know that Will told him everyone puts Will in a very bad spot. His testing of Will just showed that Ken isn't strategic enough to play and win this game. He's a tag along.

 

And it would have mattered because it would send Zeke scrambling even more. Or who knows, maybe someone in the alliance had an idol that could have been played when they knew Will was flipping. You don't run to the other side like that.

 

Will and Ken both screwed themselves this past week, although I don't think Will had much chance to win anyway.

I thought Ken screwed up too. One of the worst mistakes I think people in Survivor make is confronting people when they find out they are on the chopping block.

Unusual situation. They normally show as many votes as it takes to be obvious who is voted out AND they strategically order the votes to create as much tension as possible. In this instance, some are speculating that Jeff showing 4 votes for Hannah means that is all the votes that were for Hannah. Not sure that is correct. Since all 4 of those votes are disregarded, only 5 votes are left which means 3 votes for any person ends it. Even if they showed all 5 votes for Hannah, 3 votes would still be needed for a single player to end it (2-2 tie still in play). By doing it this way, I think they create as much potential conflict as possible. Some may assume Will voted for Hannah and it wasn't shown because they didn't have to show it. Some may assume Will voted for Zeke and it was 1 of the 2 such votes not shown.

 

We'll presumably figure it out next week.
