I think that speaks more to the impact that Ridder brings. They are certainly a different team with him in there.

Meant to ask this question over the weekend, but what do X traditionalist think of X breaking out the black uniforms last week?

We can all agree that X looked less than good in their first game of the season against the Knights. That being said, the Tigers look like a completely different team with the addition of Ridder and Rosh. Not having our #1 QB and WR clearly affected the team. Friday X not only controlled, but dominated in all 3 phases of the game and blew out Central about as bad as Florida beat Kentucky. That being said I do not see this being much of a game. X rolls in another snoozer 42-14

I thought the black uniforms looked good and kids really liked them. I prefer the traditional uniforms myself though.

Here's my question moving forward for X, can they be effective enough in passing game to keep T and Male honest defensively? Has Ridder improved his ability to limit turnovers?

I agree with that. I like black uniforms if black is part of the school colors. But I know in this generation kids love to have options when it comes to uniform combinations.

The gauntlet continues. Birds have played well enough at times to make their fans think they could hang around. Other times.....not so much. Not sure what to make of them but I'll keep rooting.

Wanted to throw my 2 cents into the mix! I'm huge on tradition and my inital reaction was shocked, seeing something other than white or green as the primary color scheme. That being said, I truly thought the black jerseys looked sharp! Unlike schools that wear jerseys that have no school colors in them, X did a good job of integrating green and gold into the mix. As you touched on. something as little as jerseys can affect where a young man wants to go to school and if they beat a team by 40+ each time they wear the alternate uniform, lets get those cleaned up and ready for Papa Johns! :clap:

X "got well" with a down Central team. I don't think that this Bluebirds team is equivalent to Highland's teams of the past but I think they will probably be a stiffer challenge for X then Central was. X will win but I think it will be closer then some seem to expect.
