  1. How about Wandale Robinson and Hunter Perdue. These two have better numbers than the other RBs mentioned and are D1 RBs. I have seen them both. They are going to be the hunt. Usually 2000 yards would get some mentions.
  2. I saw a friend of the family of Hunter Perdue, 2028 yards Bullitt East. He said he is now 190 lbs, last year 165. Apparently the kid was banged up most of the season an put those numbers. He is getting clocked around 4.5 in his 40's. Could be a sleeper. Not to mention it is Coach Mark Sander's 2nd year at Bullitt East. Coach Sander is one of the great coaches in the state.
  3. I saw that he visited WKU last weekend for JR day. I had not seen Hunter in a few months and he has really been working hard in the off season. His dad said he has picked up 20 lbs since the end of the season. He said he was visiting So. Illinois in April. Nice to see a KY RB getting interest from out of state schools.
  4. Hunter Perdue Bullitt East Class of 2018 Murray State
  5. I saw quite a few KY kids went to UT for their Junior Day and WKU is hosting there 1st one with the new coaching staff this weekend. Just curious if anyone has heard of kids getting invites. I have heard of a few in the Louisville area.
  6. I have a friend that is a Coach at Bullitt East, they have picked some really good coaches from some other schools. Solid schedule 8-18 Butler Home 8/25 Central Hardin Away 9/1 Spencer Away 9/8 OPEN 9/15 Shelby Co. Away 9/22 Nelson Home 9/29 Bullitt Central Home 10/6 So. Oldham Away 10/13 North Bullitt Away 10/20 Oldham Co. Home 10/27 CAL Home
  7. Leader rusher in 5A, and 5A district POY, Hunter Perdue, is not on the list either. 1918 yards and 23 TDs.
  8. JCPS could use some of the more than $1300 per student they spend to bus the kids all over the county to pay for improved schools in their own neighborhoods.
  9. JCPS struggles to get community involvement. The "cluster" system in Louisville takes kids out of their neighborhoods and ships them all over the county. Even schools with strong alumni in the area can not do much to help their schools. The BOE will block any attempt from alumni to enhance the facilities through donations or gifts. I heard it is the same in Bullitt County right next door. They only have 3 high schools, but 1 school can not improve facilities unless all 3 do it. This practice by the BOE is very short sighted. The Bullitt County schools had track that were too dangerous to hold meets or in most cases even practice. Bullitt East had the city willing to fix and resurface the track and BOE blocked them. In both cases the board has chosen to keep all kids in very poor, unsafe, and embarrassing situations under guise of equality. It is very sad. North Bullitt had an alumnus willing to donate the money for new locker rooms and they were not allowed.
  10. I would consider Male new. But you do have a very valid point. When Jefferson county teams travel out into the state it is very obvious to the student athletes that JCPS is way behind in spending of facilities of any kind.
  11. Yes, all of the player/ coach recognized got a plaque the Class overall would get two. Did the player from Bowling Green get the 5A?
  12. Yes, the Class POY & COY were announced at Halftime of each game while recognizing the District honorees
  13. Did anyone see the POYs and COYs. I know were announcing them at each half time
  14. I agree this one could be a very interesting game. BE has proven they can score a lot of points. They have not proven that they can stop anyone. If this game gets into the 40s we could see an upset, if not then Madison Southern should come out on top. MS has a really strong defense, and could be a team that can slow down the BE offense.
  15. If you can imagine, him, Hunter Perdue( leading rusher in 5A), and Desmond Ridder(QB St. X) were on the same youth football team.
  16. That Bullitt East offense is very good. Too bad they can not stop anyone from scoring. Everyone knows Perdue is going to get the ball and he still averages over 10 yards per carry.
  17. The question of who is the best Bullitt County team will be answered Friday. None of those teams will beat South Oldham.
  18. 7 Bardstown 5 Waggner 3 Valley 2 North Hardin 1 DeSales TB Bardstown
  19. We have passed the midpoint of the 2016 high school season, which means that the Mr. Football watch list is shrinking to only legitimate candidates. The race for this award is still wide open heading into the final two months of the season, but these are the top choices for Mr. Football through seven weeks. Keep in mind, this is not a top recruit list. Many of the top recruits in KY are not putting up the stats that warrant their name being on this list. Jamale Carothers, Running Back, Bowling Green- Carothers has jumped to second on BG’s all-time scoring list with an incredible start to the 2016 season. The Navy-commit has 557 yards on the ground and 438 receiving yards for a total of 17 touchdowns in seven games. If Carothers were to win, the Purples would have their second Mr. Football in the last three seasons. Jake Johnson, Wide Receiver, Pulaski County- Johnson can be listed as whatever position the voters want him as in 2016. Johnson has has scored on a pick six (he has three interceptions total), a kick return, punt return, passing, rushing, and receiving. He has 49 receptions and five receiving touchdowns and 11 total touchdowns in six games. Jarod Lonaker, Quarterback, Cooper- The Jaguars like to toss the ball around, and Lonaker has taken full advantage of that in 2016. Lonaker has 2,013 yards in the air for 20 touchdowns and only three interceptions. He is less than 100 yards shy of the school record for yards in a season and Cooper has only played seven games. Kent Phelps, Running Back, Paintsville- The Wofford-commit is enjoying his senior season with 694 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. His stats would be even more gaudy if he had the opportunity to play in the second half. Paintsville has blown in all but two games in 2016, meaning that Phelps doesn’t see much action late in games. Cameron Racke, Quarterback, Simon Kenton- The Pioneers continue to go about their business in 2016 as they are still undefeated at this point. A big portion of their success comes from Racke. The senior QB is 70/104 for 1,039 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also run for 455 yards and six scores. Cash Jones, Quarterback, McCracken County- If the Mustangs were to reach the state championship, there is a realistic chance Jones could throw for 50 touchdowns. Through seven games, Jones has 26 touchdowns in the air and only four interceptions. Cole Bentley, Lineman, Belfry- Bentley and the offensive line have become the face for a Belfry team that will most likely sprint to a 3A championship this season. The Louisville-commit is on an offensive line that aids a rushing attack that puts up 330 yards per game. Clark Payne, Quarterback, Bowling Green- If the Purples’ defense wasn’t strong enough to win games, the duo of Carothers and Payne should get the job done. Payne has 21 passing touchdowns and only two picks while completing 71% of his passes. Payne went 24/27 for 415 yards against Central Hardin to show he was for real. Just missed the list Tanner Morgan, Quarterback, Ryle Jordan Gunter, Wide Receiver, Ballard Hunter Perdue, Running Back, Bullitt East Trey Huntsman | Kentucky Sports Radio
  20. This game could show the effects of scheduling. Not that So. Oldham intentionally scheduled weak. Some years you can get a situation where there are several teams on your schedule that are down at one time. Judging by the way Bullitt East played in bad weather last week, i would guess they are hoping for a dry field.
