The Knights will travel up 75 to take on the Colonels in the North. Both teams have shown signs of strength and vulnerability this season, so predicting the outcome feels difficult. I think the longish ride, coupled with the night game and the colonels are riding high right now put them as a slight favorite. I'm thinking something in the 7-14 point range.

PS, I'll actually be at this one for the 10 year reunion of the 2006 AAA State Championship team. Should be a fun night!

Bold.

It was a tough call, but I went out on a limb. :lol2:

I'll take the Colonels, should be a good game.

Did LexCaths QB graduate last year?

Last years game in the rain came down to a 2 pt try for the win. Home field plus confidence building from the last two games give CCH the edge by 7.

Just a heads up for those of you traveling up 75.

There is construction north of 275 on 75, I would give yourself extra time.

Traffic can back up to Florence.

No. Kirk Fagot is a senior this year. In last year's game he was 14 for 18 passing against Cov Cath.

Has Lex Cath ever played at Cov Cath? It seems they play every couple years but ALWAYS at Lex Cath.

This will be the tenth meeting between the two schools with Lex Cath leading the series 5-4.

Numerous of their matchups were played in the playoffs, so the location of the game is determined by team records rather than by contract.

Part of that is LexCath having the better seed in playoff matchups and CovCath playing in the season opening bowl game hosted by LexCath. To your point, I don't remember the Knights playing in Park Hills.

Momentum on Covcath side, they win by +21.

If I recall correctly the starting QB, Legend Brumbaugh, in last years game got hurt and was replaced by Kirk Fagot.

Brumbaugh transferred to a school in FL.
