September 14, 201610 yr I am hearing that Coach Dawn had another heart attack this morning. They had to use the paddles on him and he has not woken up yet. Can anyone confirm? Prayers going out to Ron and his family. I just heard the same thing.
September 14, 201610 yr Possibly a Blood clot on his lungs . Can't play around with this, very dangerous. Needs to be as immobile as possible until the clot is dissolved/removed, pretty painful.

September 15, 201610 yr Is this Ron Dawn who played high school basketball in the 90's? Ronny Dawn (Ron's son) graduated from Newport Central Catholic in 2001, I think. He played college hoops at Marshall. This is his father.

We regret to say that Mr. Dawn did suffer a set back in his health over the course of last night, and he is back in the hospital. He is in good hands, and the doctors believe he should make a strong recovery. Please continue to keep Ron in your prayers
