Ha ha. Conspiracy theorists all over the place. If NewCath has an advantage over local Public schools, they sure do stink at exploiting it. 1 for 3 so far, not to mention the losses to Beechwood and Mayfield last season. I have a feeling the whining goes away pretty fast when a really good coach finally gets the community to buy into what he is selling. Look at SK now and what CC has going on.

Haha! Man I can only fathom what would happen if NewCath could offer a free education. They're at such a humongous disadvantage having to charge. It's amazing this littleschool ever competed with schools with such a huge advantage of being able to offer everything for free.

I was at the game it looked like the NCC player broke on the pass and the CC play ran the wrong route so theee was a huge collision. Ball was thrown about 5 yards behind the reciever. I dont know the rule but hard not to throw the flag with a hit that hard. Looked like an unfortunate break for NCC. Game was going to be won by who ever didnt make the last mistake. Great game to watch.

Start your own thread. This is about the game. I think the officials weren't that great and missed several calls. However, they were consistent and hosed both teams at times. You can't blame the refs for the NCC loss or applaud them for the CC win. The Breds DL Hughes is a mighty mite. He might be the smallest D lineman you'll see all year but he plays big and never quits. I admire his tenacity. The Camels DL Lawrence is relentless. He is so fun to watch and he's only getting started. He's going to be one of the best in the state in 2 years.

There is nothing you could say if you can't see how huge of an advantage a large public school should have over a tiny private school.

 

You don't honestly think that just because NCC is private they get kids from all over the region, do you? I would guarantee at any given time 99% of NewCath students are from Campbell County.

And the feeder schools for NCC are beginning to dry up and consolidate but there are still families that want the Catholic education for their kids. If I'm not mistaken, there are 4 or 5 Catholic grade schools in the northern part of the county. I'm sure NCC gets their fair share of kids from Covington because did the proximity

You would be totally incorrect. Why would kids from Covington pay to attend NCC to play football with Holy Cross and CovCath and even Highlands being an option if they are dying to pay tuition? Maybe it would be for the rock hard practice field......or the lack of a home field. Kids from Ohio? Seriously? Those kids would have about 23 better options. There is exactly 1 small Catholic grade school in the northern part of Campbell Co. There are 2 in Fort Thomas where attending Highlands for free is an option. The kids come from there and the remaining Catholic grade schools in Campbell Co.
