Kaepernick refuses to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people

Featured Replies

Why don't we start with the justice system. Is your stance the the justice system from writing laws, enforcing laws, arresting people, jury decisions, etc is the same for blacks as it is for whites? Simple question.

Yes. I have never seen a law written today that is written based on the color of your skin.

Please show me a law that was written today that says if you are black you can not ----- fill in the blanks.

Clyde, one more example in response to the question you asked to prove it isn't a one way street. You ask about jury decisions etc one of the most famous trials of our lifetime was the OJ trial. You don't think the jury selection and decision wasn't based on white vs black? So I guess the white man is opressed then huh?

Comes across to whom?

 people watching the news and keeping up with current events? What other way can it come across as when a shooting was justified and there's body cam video and the town still gets destroyed by "protestors"?

Once again, what is your stance?

I don't feel I'm opressed butWhen I looked at my check Friday and saw $1100+ in deductions, I certainly felt victimized by the government :lol2:

:lol2:

Which stance?

On CK? Already answered.

On HB saying blacks are treated the same as whites? Already answered with the justice question.

Do you agree that police are murderers?

When I say blacks are treated the same as whites, I'm referring to the laws of this land of ours today etc. I'm not talking about how 1 person treats another. We could go on for years with examples of how someone may treat someone else differently based in color and those examples would come from both sides. I could show how BLM protester who was a black woman took a bull horn and stated all whites participating I the protest need to move to the back etc. the same thing goes on with some whites treating blacks unfairly. I'm not talking about individuals. There are always that type of discrimination no matter what color of skin you have. I'm talking about the laws of the land here.

Can we all agree that CK sucks? And whatever happened with his sexual assault case? Was it "settled"?

Yes. I have never seen a law written today that is written based on the color of your skin.

If that is your criteria then there is no point of having a debate.

Do you agree that police are murderers?

No.

Do I believe there are police who have murdered? Yes.

Do I believe SOME police shootings look race-based? Yes.

Can we all agree that CK sucks? And whatever happened with his sexual assault case? Was it "settled"?

I still can't figure out how or why he fell so quickly. He has the tools physically. I'd like to see him get it worked out. He was fun to watch when he was at the top of his game.

No.

Do I believe there are police who have murdered? Yes.

Do you believe the vast majority of police shootings are justified?

Do you believe police are being targeted?

If we are going to have a debate based on intentions and words used let's use the words used.

Here's what I found when he talked to a reporter after the game.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

Where did I miss the part where he said blacks should be able to get away with violent crimes and that all police shootings are murders?

Do you believe the vast majority of police shootings are justified?

Do you believe police are being targeted?

Yes, the vast majority (overwhelming majority) of police shootings are 100% justified.

Some police are being targeted.

Now what?

If that is your criteria then there is no point of having a debate.

I simply answered your question. Can you prove me wrong in my answer?

Please give me examples where today's laws are written to discriminate and opress African Americans.

that is what you asked wasn't it?

I still can't figure out how or why he fell so quickly. He has the tools physically. I'd like to see him get it worked out. He was fun to watch when he was at the top of his game.

I'm gonna say he's not the smartest guy around. I think he lacks football intelligence. You can't be just a scrambling QB who's faster than everyone forever. Steve Young, Mark Brunell, Mike Vick, Randall Cunningham, those dudes were quick and athletes but they also had high football IQ which allowed them to stay successful.
