I'm gonna say he's not the smartest guy around. I think he lacks football intelligence. You can't be just a scrambling QB who's faster than everyone forever. Steve Young, Mark Brunell, Mike Vick, Randall Cunningham, those dudes were quick and athletes but they also had high football IQ which allowed them to stay successful.

This entire protest has nothing to do with the suspect in Chicago being shot, it only has to do with the kid in SC last year who was shot by a cop who I hope doesn't see the light of day ever again? He wasn't talking about any other incident that involved a violent crime that took place or a crime where the suspect who was shot had a weapon or attacked police officers in the act and ended up being shot?

You need to ask yourself what he meant and how you came to that conclusion.

The drug laws, are you saying the laws are written that if a white person is caught selling, using drugs etc they will not be prosecuted? That they are written so that only blacks can be arrested for drug use etc?

 

Jury decisions, I already gave you a great example of how jury decisions go both ways. A black jury frees a black man of murder and I'm sure a white jury has found guilty a black man of murder. This isn't something that just happens against 1 race.

 

 

Again, you are talking about individual people when you talk about police stops. I know for a fact that police of all colors have pulled over people of another race and some have done it in purpose as it was their own personal profiling.

I read the article of him explaining his protest. That is how I came to that conclusion.

I guess the real question you need to ask yourself is, if you're actually doing anything in the real world to help. It's one thing to use Ponder's badge as your avatar, or to isolate other members in controversial threads for their opinions. There's more to helping than trying to be the smoothest commenter on BGP. I don't need you to make sure I've thought it through, I'm living the life and trying to keep positive encounters, while holding law breakers accountable for their actions. What exactly are you doing in the real world to make sure YOU have thought it all through?

So like CK , Ali said America oppressed black folk. So in 1967 Ali was taking the exact same stand as CK.

 

Is the stand right? Depends on what lens you're looking through. Depends on how you interpret "oppressed." Depends on what he's saying is wrong (hint: It's NOT that blacks should be ALLOWED to commit crimes.)

 

So, again, in 1967 everyone of us would have been on BGP and FB killing Ali than we are with CK.

 

With time and with emotion removed from the situation some re-evaluated the stance and used history to make a judgment as to the veracity of the comments made.
