Ali gave up his professional career for his beliefs, wether or not he was right or not at the time is irrelevant. The point is he gave up his professional career and knew the consequences of his protest ahead of time and was still willing to take a stand. That is completely different than CK not standing during the National Anthem. If you want to compare the two, it is only comparable if CK stands up for something that he knows the consequences of will end his professional career and he could be jailed for.

 

Refusing to stand for the Anthem isn't even close to being a conscientious objector to the war knowing you will face prison time and lose your career.

 

Maybe that is the disconnect. You didn't mean the 2 protests were equal but instead you were trying to say both people were hated for things they said and that is where the comparison ends. Then if that was the case we could compare what CK said to anything Trump

has said over the past year.

Why don't we start with the justice system. Is your stance the the justice system from writing laws, enforcing laws, arresting people, jury decisions, etc is the same for blacks as it is for whites? Simple question.
