-- Hopkinsville's CJ Henagan had four touchdown receptions against Graves County.

-- Lloyd's Lashunn Townsend caught five passes for 118 yards and a touchdown against Walton-Verona.

-- Pulaski County's Jake Johnson caught six passes against Harlan County, giving him 281 for his career. Johnson surpassed former Trinity star James Quick (280) on the state's all-time career receptions list.

 

DEFENSE

-- Covington Holy Cross came up with six turnovers -- spanning the second quarter and into the third quarter -- against Holmes.

-- Danville's David Walker came up with back-to-back turnovers (pick six, fumble recovery) on consecutive LaRue County offensive snaps.

-- Doss scored off a pair of fumble returns or recoveries -- Shawn’Kel Knight-Goff (75 yards) and Philip Lewis (end zone) -- against Jeffersontown.

-- Franklin County forced seven punts and gave up just four yards of offense against Shelby Valley.

-- Owensboro held Warren Central to minus-22 yards offensive yards in the first half. Will Smith had two fumble recoveries while Joe Ashley had three tackles for loss.

-- South Warren had four sacks, forced a safety and allowed just 3.8 yards per play against Monroe County.

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

-- Boone County's Rondell Douglas returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown against Lexington Catholic.

-- Bowling Green's Ziyon Kenner returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown against John Hardin.

-- Eastern's Sugar Ray Wyche returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown against Bullitt East.

-- The Newport Central Catholic-Scott game had a kickoff return touchdown for each team as Scott's Nelson Perrin went for 90 yards and Newport Central Catholic's Kyle Kelly went for 95.

-- Nicholas County's Aaron Conyers returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown at Bethlehem.

-- North Hardin's blocked extra point against Boyle County on the first possession of overtime proved to be the difference as the Trojans scored a touchdown on their ensuing possessions and converted the extra point for a win over the Rebels.

-- North Laurel's Matt Sizemore returned the opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown against South Laurel.

-- Williamsburg's DC Bowlin made a 49-yard field goal against Lexington Christian for the program's longest successful field goal since 1984 (Jim Campbell, 50 yards against Oneida, Tenn.).

 

NOTEWORTHY

-- Corbin moved to 17-0 all-time against Whitley County.

-- Hancock County is 1-0 for the first time since 2000, when the Hornets opened the season with a 46-19 home win against Princeton, Ind.

-- Marion County earned a 54-21 win against Nelson County to end an 11-game losing streak. Marion County went 0-10 last year and lost to Rockcastle County in the first round of the 2014 playoffs.

-- Mayfield's Joe Morris, who has been the Cardinals' coach since 1999, earned his 200th career win at Mayfield with a 56-0 victory against Fort Campbell.
