nWo Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 August 11, 2016 In its updated 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook, NOAA calls for a higher likelihood of a near-normal or above-normal season, and decreases the chance of a below-normal season to only 15 percent, from the initial outlook issued in May. The season is still expected to be the most active since 2012. Atlantic hurricane season still expected to be strongest since 2
TheDeuce Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I'm gonna take in a hurricane one day. It's on my bucket list.
Wireman Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I'm gonna take in a hurricane one day. It's on my bucket list. I've been in two tropical storms (one was a depression). I thought it was cool. I would like to experience a hurricane, as well. But then again, I love weather
spindoc Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 As long as it can avoid Miami the weekend of Oct 15/16, let er rip.
rjs4470 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I've been in two tropical storms (one was a depression). I thought it was cool. I would like to experience a hurricane, as well. But then again, I love weather Been there, done that, have no desire to experience another hurricane. I'll watch from a distance.
All In Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I've been in two tropical storms (one was a depression). I thought it was cool. I would like to experience a hurricane, as well. But then again, I love weather I love weather as well, only problem is where I live you have to love Louisiana swamp-type weather because that is all we have had for the past 7 weeks with no end in sight. Can't even get a good stormy day, just humidity and a cloud burst every once in awhile. Boring, boring summer after a boring, boring winter
mexitucky Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I've been in two tropical storms (one was a depression). I thought it was cool. I would like to experience a hurricane, as well. But then again, I love weather I was in one that lasted 36 hours and left us without electricity and running water for 2 weeks. Never again.
swamprat Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I'm gonna take in a hurricane one day. It's on my bucket list. Come back down and maybe we'll take care of that tick off. However, you have to leave your vehicle outside for the duration of the hurricane and stick around for the aftermath. BTW, you have to bring the chain saws, generators, and tarps.
swamprat Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I check the National Hurricane Center every morning, first thing. TS Fiona is out in the Atlantic, now. Looks like it might veer north and miss the coast entirely. What I worry about are not necessarily the storms that cross the Atlantic, it's the ones that enter into and start out in the Gulf and Caribbean Sea. There is a lot of warm water to feed on there. The Gulf temperature has been warmer this year. It actually got into the 90s last month.
