She just misspoke as there's no doubt she meant to say aren't and I imagine that's what the crowd thought they heard her say.

 

Still, I saw a report that estimated her plan would raise taxes 1.3 trillion and still fall short of funding her policies by over 2 trillion. I'm sure there are other reports that come up with much different estimates but there's no doubt taxes are going up. She will need to redefine "middle class" to avoid backtracking.

That is the truly sad part.

 

It is embarrassing as an American that these are the two best we can put forward to be the leader of the most powerful nation in the world.

No need for her to comment on this silliness. Look at the context of her speech. Look at the words immediately prior to those in question. She clearly either didn't enunciate the "n't" fully or the mic didn't pick it or both.
