Joey Votto Is A Jerk...And It's Awesome

Featured Replies

I think saying he grabbed the guy is a bit much, he lifted the logo on the dude's shirt. Unnecessary, and he apologized. Much ado about nothing.

I'll also say this....If Joey Votto continues to hit .519/.625/.796, or close to it, the rest of the way, he can do whatever the hell he wants. Dude is absurd.

You know when i saw it live my first thought was what if the fan was to punch him for grabbing him like that.

They would be banned from GABP for life.

I loved it. The guys job is to get out of the way and keep Votto from hurting himself coming over the wall.

I think the apology was uncalled for. Dude should have been escorted out of the stadium.

Agreed, but he could also have a hefty suit against Votto and the Reds as well.

Nope. Rules state that any ball that is in beyond the barrier to the playing field is free game to both fans and players. The fan had every right to go after the ball, as did Joey.

He should have caught it.

Yep, and he admitted that. I'm sure that was part of his frustration.

As opposed to Cub fans?

That doesn't even make sense. Your hate game is strong :lol2:

Makes tons of sense. Cubs fans were threatening the life of Steve Bartman after he interfered with Moises Alou catching the ball. Votto is a Saint compared to those fans.

Deflect by bringing up old stuff, and players are held to a higher standard. Apples and oranges. :lol2:

Every fan base has there crazies anyway. Don't be so defensive :lol2:
