Bucket List item about to be checked...

Figured that this would be as good of a place for any to discuss bucket list items and your plans to getting them off.

I'll go first. October 8th and November 12th, I FINALLY begin competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I'm old enough to do the Master's Division . I've always wanted to compete in a combat style setting, so this will be my chance. Luckily, the one on the 8th is in Columbus and is a round robin, so when I tap in the opening minute of my first match I will have other ones to bounce back in.

Best part about this is that I HAVE TO get under 205. There is no way that I want any part of being in the weight class above that since it generally goes up to 245. I have fear as my motivation.

I'm interested in other people's years and what they are going to do.

Seriously though, best of luck to you. I can't imagine picking up that sport at this point of my life.

No punching, just submission grappling.

Meh... my cousin is better than me and they like him better. They did it during the offseason for strength and conditioning training. They loved it. It's nice to be in a sport where you have to go 100% at practice to get the technique correct...sort of. Son of Siam's first day in our new place is today. Pretty soon they will open kids classes for boys and girls. If you have time, check it out.

I ticked off one last summer - see Neil Young live in concert. Another or mine is to build a cabin at my family's farm property, which is now in the works actually.

My #1 bucket list item is to attend mass at St. Peter's Basilica, and another really big one is to drink a Hofbrau dunkel in the Munich Hofbrauhaus. My wife and I were talking about it recently, and we may well be shooting for one of the two of those in winter '17.

Got to see Neil about a half-dozen times during his '90s revival. That was fun.

As far as HofbrauHaus goes, I'd rather be there when they tap the Oktoberfest brew. It still stands as my all-time favorite, and I would love to get it as fresh as possible.

I want to go to Cody, Wyoming and ask for Wild Bill (a Kurt Vonnegut reference). I hate the Eagles but I want to stand on a corner in Winslow, AZ. Been to AZ twice, but that never prospered. Also want to drive 27 from Northern terminus to the southern

FYI there are approximately 30 red lights on 27, just in Somerset and Burnside...just so you know what you are in for :lol2:

Worst stretch of road in this state!!!!! :lol2: :lol2:

It takes us an hour and 30 minutes to get to Wayne County. 45 minutes is spent getting through Somerset. :lol2:

Okay, slight exaggeration.... but still.......

Use the bypass next time...it will save you at least 15 minutes...maybe a few more.

Hit it north of town at Bowling Green exit off of 27 then left on 914, it then puts you back on 27 below the mall...only 2 lights on that stretch :lol2:

True this. That is why I get a police escort when I come into Somerset, right @Jumper_Dad.

My wife loves driving and road-trips. She's mentioned wanting to do that one, but the one she's serious about doing one day is I-90 from Seattle to Boston.
