Actually - wtvq 36 announced at 6 last night that they were sorry about the confusion but this if for a Friday game - Merer plays Saturday. So votes do not matter - Mercer vs. South Laurel is out anyway. Didn't realize when they included them for the Gridiron Blitz. There will be another Friday night for the Titans.

Really looking forward to seeing Mercer on Saturday and how the two schools have molded together. I was looking at their varsity roster a few minutes ago and counted 69 players, with only three of them being freshmen. I can't imagine a Class 2A team anywhere in the state having those kind of numbers. Heck, North and South are 4A teams, and they have about 65-66, and that's with all the freshmen listed!

Yes, but they are an historic power, and I would expect their numbers to be high, especially in a year following a state title. I would say that they — and others like Belfry and P'Burg and Corbin — would be the exception rather than the rule.

I may be wrong, but if both are the top seed in their district, it would be the region finals.

I can't wait til kickoff! 1 more day! It's going to be an electric atmosphere. The first home game for the Titans. I expect 5,000 Mercer fans for this game. That may be an understatement.

It's Game Day. I've been waiting for this one all week. I expect some high octane action out there from both teams. It could go either way. But, this is the first home game for the Titans so it would be great to get a big W!
