Schedule is brutal. The pieces are there for a good season. I'd say they will go 6-4 or 7-3 regular season. They are talented enough to go 8-2 but could be as bad as 5-5. Either way I think this team will be hitting on all cylinders by playoffs and will give Danville all they want for the Region championship. They have the tools just have to play unselfish football and eliminate the mental mistakes of the past couple years.

 

They will be going through LCA. I can Guarantee you that!

Danville could finish 3rd in the district. Somerset has all the skill players to be very good. Jordan Doan and Dillon Wheatley will be two of the best running backs in 2A. Looking forward to the LCA vs Somerset game

If there was something Somerset needs to work on its the mental awareness of its players. Its something I have seen the last few years and has stuck out to me. By that mean both parts. During the whistle, and after. Granted this was the younger kids coming up so maybe this gets corrected by the time they are JR & SR but it really needs to be addressed system wide.

Will Doan stay healthy is also another big question with them also. I don't think he has played a full season since middle school.

I recall you guaranteeing that last year Danville and all would go through LCA. Oh, wait a minute, Danville DID GO THROUGH, and over LCA. :thumb:

A little work has been done around the field this year. Fieldhouse painted, new wood lockers installed, new fencing (wihout holes) installed around the field and as shown below new gate/entrance/ticket booth built.
