My slant on this is personal. Pelosi did not read the healthcare bill, yet rammed it through the House after getting it together behind closed (locked) doors. What did Reid do? Stood on the floor of the Senate and called me a liar. I'm one of those people who lost our excellent(I chose it) business small group plan. Had to buy one with much higher premiums, higher deductibles, higher max out of pocket costs and less coverage. Neither of them care about the middle class Americans.

That or they never paid attention in the first place. Neither party has a monopoly on obstructing Washington business. I have never said they do. I was pointing out, for our memory challenged colleague, what the Dems have done. The Repubs have done it as well. For the record, I put McConnell in the same boat as Reid.
June 2, 201610 yr So you're saying C-SPAN is to blame for our obstructionist Congress? That's when I noticed everyone trying to get camera time. It used to be that D and an R could huddle in a corner to try to make deals and get them passed. Then they each went to their respective parties to drum up enough votes bipartisan to pass the bill. This never happens anymore. If they are seen huddling together, they're considered traitors.
