I think Snopes does a fine job. Granted, their bread and butter are internet rumors which are about as easy to debunk as fishing with a grenade. But otherwise I haven't seen any evidence of them being dishonest or unreliable. It seems that if they were guilty of this it'd be easy to point to instances of it.

The reason Snopes is denigrated by the right is because the site has busted too many myths. The reason Snopes is considered left of center is because most of the myths it busts are right-wing crowd-pleasers.

 

To a large chunk of the American electorate, myth is more important than reality.

And "Accuracy in Politics" is about as bad as it gets. Takes about 30 seconds to research sites like this.

So when Snopes points out that several of the body guards on the list were ATF agents that were killed during the Waco siege, it's left leaning, biased information? Or that some of the time lines and connections are off, Snopes has an agenda? Because they actually take the time to verify the "sources and facts" that are spread around via the witty meme's that every one posts on social media as fact, that's a problem? So much of the garbage that gets posted and shared on social media is meant to inflame, not inform. At least Snopes takes the time to share their sources and use verified information rather than just believing every thing that they see in a meme. It's amazing that the left are the one's that are regularly characterized as being "sheep" being led around, when the right latches on to garbage like this list and spreads it around as the truth without taking the time to actually verify it's truth.

I'm a Democrat. A Democrat who hasn't yet decided if I'm voting for Clinton or not. What does one using Snope's to fact check the validity of all the junk that's posted have to do with whether one supports Clinton or not?? Although, in this case, Snopes probably isn't even necessary......attempting to link the Clinton's to almost 4 dozen deaths, based on unsubstantiated sources and research, is about as far fetched as it gets.

 

Sorry, I tend to research and check the validity of claims and crazy news stories from dubious sources. That doesn't make me a liberal, or Democrat or Clinton supporter. It makes me a little better informed. But in this world, my skepticism to embrace junk stories like this, make me a bad guy to some of the conservative out there.

I dont think anyone is saying alot more than the Clintons have lead a very shady, lying, cheating, screwing the help and maybe in some instances murdering( or at least hand their hands in it) life. I think some, no matter what party, thinks its a joke she is be allowed to run. Nothing more nothing less.

No problem researching... Smart thing to do. BUT, Snopes isn't the place e to start.... It's like believing Carfax is always correct on the "facts" about used cars.....
