Simon Kenton Pioneers - 2015 Grade

Featured Replies

A-

Simon Kenton was clearly the top when it came to football programs in Northern Kentucky - even finally having the chance to chalk up against the Highlands Bluebirds.

However, with a 6A district schedule that often times left them with little challenge, it was hard at times to gauge the Pioneers against the rest of 6A in the state.

A shockingly close 1-point win over Cooper in the 6A quarterfinals and a loss to 6A runner up Lafayette in the semifinals points to some obvious weaknesses for the Simon Kenton 2015 squad.

Do you agree with a A- for Simon Kenton? What grade do you give the Pioneers?

B+

I want to give the Neers an A- but every way I wrestle with it I come back to a B+.

During the regular season I give Simon an A. During the playoffs a B.

The Pioneers dominated during the regular season but squeaking by 5A sized Cooper and losing to a B+ graded Generals team by two TDs in the state semi-finals at home has me giving the Simon Kenton Pioneers a solid B+ for the 2015 Season.

Considering we are giving teams that made the state finals B's and B-'s, sure A- sounds fair.

A-? They didn't even make it to the championship game! I'll give them a B+ since they went undefeated in the regular season.

Are you going to add something to these threads or just be sarcastic.

Is this a trick question?! :jump:

I guess you could say yes because it wasn't a question at all.

Solid A, honestly I give them a B+ for the regular season and an A for the playoffs. Highlands not being up to par didnt provided the playoff ready game it should have.

What did they do in the playoffs that earned them an A? I mean, they beat Ryle and Cooper again, but lost by two touchdowns to Lafayette. I'd give them a B+.

Their regular season was a bit soft, but going undefeated still earns them a B+ there.

Overall: B+

I give them an A they played awesome all season and played one bad game against a Lafayette team they could have beat.

I would say A for regular season B-/C+ for playoffs. So that comes to a B or B+

B+. solid regular season. Appeared a little weary at playoff time. Playoff loss to less than stellar Lafayette raised too many questions.

They got beat at home by a team that had a 72-14 loss on their resume.

They did step-up and play a perennial power during the regular season but the remainder of their regular season schedule was lackluster at best. Anytime a self proclaimed super fan has to point to a scrimmage as evidence of a teams accomplishments something is wrong. B-

So, every school that lost a game gets an F? Just trying to nail down the logic here.
