March 29, 201610 yr CBO Misses Its Obamacare Projection by 24 Million People | The Weekly Standard Based on the net number less people are covered by private insurance than projected without it.
March 29, 201610 yr Like many, I would like to have at least seen a viable alternative. Never happened.
March 29, 201610 yr I wonder how the fact that many states never created their own system and/or (like Kentucky) dismantled their system affected these projected numbers.
March 29, 201610 yr We probably would have been better off if the President would have simply expanded Medicaid first before killing the rest of the market.
March 29, 201610 yr Like many, I would like to have at least seen a viable alternative. Never happened. Never had a chance. The left even had to pull Teddy out of his death bed to vote for this mess just to get SOMETHING passed. Even nutty Nancy admitted she didn't know what she was voting for, just that she was voting for it.
March 29, 201610 yr The CBO lowered their projection of insurance coverage growth and this writer concludes that it means people lost health care. I thought liberals were supposed to be the potheads. [Takes a long toke] "They changed the estimate...it's almost, like, hypothetically, people lost coverage, man. Think about it."
March 29, 201610 yr I would have thought that we'd see ONE of the candidates propose a reasonable alternative. After all this time, I don't expect anything from the Legislative branch; but you'd think that in an election year, someone would trot out a proposal.
March 30, 201610 yr The major overarching goal is now proven wrong. When the deceit and fraud are this bad the reactions are shown here. Anger and denial. It was a massive lie to create forced extraction of wealth from the populace.
March 30, 201610 yr Obamacare was never really about health care. It is about government control. I was convinced at the beginning of Obamacare that Obama knew it could not work and secretly did not want it to work. I am more convinced of that now. He wanted to blow up the health care system and then throw up his hands and say the only way to fix the mess is a single payer system. Anyone who does not think that was his ultimate goal is simply not paying attention. Sadly, I believe Obama will eventually get his wish. I get a kick out of folks saying the R's should come up with the solution. NOT ONE of them voted for this atrocity and yet they are supposed to fix it. There are so many flat out lies that Obama told to sell the plan that it is staggering. Remember Gruber anyone?? Totally disgusting....
March 30, 201610 yr Lets dismantle Obamacare and Medicaid! Send the indigent to emergency treatment facilities when their condition becomes critical and let those that pay for health care adsorb the costs! While we are at, lets leave those who are suddenly uninsured because of job loss out in the cold. Furthermore, lets let the insurance companies escalate premiums so high, that only the young and very healthy can afford insurance! Oh yeah, since government funds medicaid and medicare, lets have them pull out of that market as well so that government is out of the health care business completely! Too bad Granny, we can't afford your health care, so we are just going to have to let you die!

Perhaps that movement would gain more traction if a reasonable replacement were to accompany the vote.
March 30, 201610 yr How many votes have there now been to abolish it? Perhaps that movement would gain more traction if a reasonable replacement were to accompany the vote. You don't really believe that. Anything that passes now will be vetoed by Obama, that is if Harry Reid actually lets a vote happen in the Senate. I loathe John Yarmuth but at least he's been honest. He flat out said that he wanted this abomination to destroy the current so single payor would have to happen.
March 30, 201610 yr ... Oh yeah, since government funds medicaid and medicare, lets have them pull out of that market as well so that government is out of the health care business completely! .... The 'government' does not fund anything. The source of the check and money behind the check are not one in the same. ACA does not fix and never fixed anything dealing with healthcare. It allowed the government to impose rules, regulations, fees, taxes, surcharges, etc. to then hand out no-charge services to people. It actually cut Medicare funding. The new pool is used to fund a new demographic - the undocumented, illegal alien population. Insurance companies are now finding this to be the case and its killing them. The only real thing ACA is assuring is a large-scale train wreck at this point. The money spend could have been just given to (legal citizen) poor of this country twoice over and less money would have been required and everyone would be 'covered'.

They require a validated SSN. I had way more insurance options than with any employer sponsored plan, and , at a more modest cost driven a much larger pool of insured. You have consumed the conservative kool aide on this one. "impose rules, regulations, fees, taxes, surcharges, " I never experienced this.
