Final.

First title appearance for Dunbar since Cameron Mills & company lost to Fairdale in 1994.

Congrats to PLD!

Well I was wrong in the prediction thread. I said NCC could not hang with Dunbar. Wrong. They hung with them quite well. Just came up a little short. Great game and great season for NCC.

BULLDOGS!!!!

Ben Weyer and Brennan Hall named to the All Tournament Team.

Our boys have so much to be proud of! No one expected them to get out of US Bank Arena. I have completely enjoyed watching them the last 3 days!! What a fantastic year!

Could not be any prouder of this NewCath team, not many thought they would win the region much less make it to the Semi-Finals of the State Tournament.

You defended the "hill" as you set out to do, and have made your mark in the history of the NewCath basketball program.

To Ben Weyer, John Ludwig, and Brian & Erik Anderson.......this NewCath alum says thank you for 4 fun years of watching your hard work on the court, and continued success moving on.

Congratulation to Dunbar and good luck in the Finals.

Real proud of what NewCath accomplished in the Sweet 16. They represented the 9th quite well and did some shocking and amazing things along the way to make everyone stand up and take notice that they were no push over.

You guys had a great season and did all of Northern Kentucky proud in the Sweet 16 and no matter the outcome of this Semi-Final game it was an exciting one and your excellence in the State Tourney will never be forgotten. What you've done stands right up there with the best in the history of the 9th Region.

Really enjoyed watching your TEAM go to work and be everything tourney time in the state of Kentucky is all about.

Congratulations on one true fine season that you can remember for the rest of yours lives as a true GREAT one!

Great Post LB!

Congrats to PLD!

Way to go PLD! Love watching Lexington schools succeed.

Hold your heads up high boys!!! We always knew you were one of the top teams in the state and you did not disappoint! We are very proud of you, not only as basketball players but also as young men!

What a great game!

Probably a little more physical than NCC would have liked, but the whistles, as always, seem to be blown less the deeper we get in to March.

I know he was in foul trouble, but very surprised at the lack of touches by Weyer in the 4th.
