If you mean cut players loose that aren't committed and doing what there supposed to do, everyone does that (or should). If you mean cut players that aren't good enough, I'd say your source isn't very good.

I'm not sure exactly how Mueller did it but on more than one occasion he said he would never kick a kid off a team. He had to once while in OH because he was told to.

Play more JV games, split the jv in to two teams? Hate to see kids who want to participate not get the chance too.

Good idea, I don't think getting coaches would be a deterrent. Cost of equipment and transportation probably would be issues. I wold think practice space would also be an issue. I hope it's just talk and doesn't become reality.

Again remember 18 game limit to non varsity games. This counts freshman and JV games.

Just make the running and conditioning harder. You run the guys off that are there just to be cool and get a ring. I guess that was Duffy style??
