March 26, 201610 yr Take 134 and us 25 to jelico. You will go thru a town than get on a windy road. The reason I was even considering the 63 to 297 path was it looked like a straighter route, possibly a few miles less and probably less traveled than 25 if things got backed up.

I'm at Norris lake this morning, heading back to Cincy this afternoon. I'll be coming out at stop light 10. Taking 25 west is actually quicker from where I am, but rather winding.

March 26, 201610 yr Thanks for the info TAC! By the way, how are they biting? We didn't go fishing but reaped the benefits of someone who did go out yesterday. Fresh fish for dinner last night. They caught a handful in the morning and 4-5 more in the afternoon. All right at keeper size.
March 26, 201610 yr I drove back today and it is 2 lanes up to exit 141 then down to 1 lane past the slide. The signage is misleading though leading to a slowdown at about 138. It says right lane closed but it doesn't close to 1 lane until just north of the exit. It was really bad today. The traffic was backed up to exit 134. With it being a holiday weekend I would avoid it if possible. South bound was fine. North bound all Messed up. Coming back thru Jericho When will North bound be open? Looks like it's open UK but limited to one or two lanes through that slide area.
April 6, 201610 yr @OlDog75 check this thread out. ??? I know about the previous thread. I just needed to know if folks are seeing just as long a backup on 25 West (actually going north around the slide area) around that area as what I saw when I was driving South a day ago. Thanks.

On my way back this past Thursday, heard about a 10-15 mile backup on I-75N near the slide area so we picked up 25E around Knoxville. Followed it all the way to Corbin where we connected with I-75N. Like I said in a previous post, it really was the way to go for me as I cannot stand to sit in stop and go backed up traffic. Also, hadn't been through the Cumberland Gap Tunnel area since they started building the thing. There was hardly any traffic on 25E when we were on it.
