Any time any of his competitors seem to gain any traction (e.g. Rubio last night) he finds a way to steal their thunder and headlines.

Not at all...Trump brags about making deals...just he says he makes GOOD deals instead of the lousy deals people in DC make all the time. They are ALL trying to make deals right now. He just seems to be better at it than the others running currently.
February 27, 201610 yr Christie's politics are closer to Trump than any of the top 3. Cruz is a proven divider. He seems to have zero respect for Rubio. Trump is the only choice left unless he's supporting Hillary.
February 29, 201610 yr Christie sold his soul for a seat in the administration, maybe VP. Not sure that putting another democrat on the republican ticket with trump is the way to go. Especially two NE guys. Trump will need someone from the MW or SE to help him beat Billary in the fall.
