How does TRINITY get picked 2nd by BGP Poll?

Featured Replies

After watching almost three quarters of the Trinity/SC scrimmage I don't think any ROCK fans will think we are #1. It was something like 23-8 when I left. SC was in our backfield all night. T had a real eye opener and a lot of work to do in my opinion.

How did Trinity's running game look.

Are you combining the Varsity and JV score to get your final talley or are you saying that you won the Varsity portion by 7-10 points? Your version differs from what LSU has posted above unless you did combine the scores.

He must be counting the JV scores. I'm pretty sure I have it right that at the end of three, the Rocks were down by one. So go ahead and pop that cork Ox.:dancingpa

I combined all the scores to come up with a "final score". There was a lot of switching of personnel throughout the game, and although the varsity started out the game, it wasn't an instance of where the varsity came out and the whole JV went in. A lot of people got to play tonight, and except for the early part of the game with just varsity, there were multiple levels of players in the game at any given point. I did think that in some cases there were 2nd and 3rd level players that came in and outplayed a starter--maybe just first game jitters, I don't know. Scott County has a very good, very fast team, and should do well this season. But whatever you do, don't count the Rocks out, because as the Stones say, "The kids are alright!"

Coach McKee and his Cardinals are the ones who should be popping the cork. Scott County had the guts once again to schedule both of the private school powers in preseason, and played both of us tough. His program only continues to improve by playing the best. :thumb:

Agree, Ox. Scott County is deceptive, run great fakes, and are extremely fast. They'll give everybody trouble.

^ Agree with the Oxman on that point. That is why Scott County played in a state final a couple of years ago. They did a nice job preparing for the scrimmage and had some gadget plays that had the Rock dbs scratching their heads. Nice double hand off flea flicker to score a td before half! On the varsity end of things both teams scored 2 tds. Rocks got an easy 2 after one td. On the 2nd td they kicked for one (not trying to tie). SC got a safety on a juggled snap. Rocks passed on at least one easy fg to run more plays. SC looked like they had a scrimmage under their belt... Trinity didn't. Rock nation not ready to snatch #17 yet... but not going to forfeit their games either. Coaches B, B & C will find the rythm and the beat will go on.... la de da de dee, la de da de daa.
