It's @ the middle school but yes that prolly gives them a slight advantage. I agree the Fieldhouse is more accommodating when it comes to space but when it's a big game the parking is still pretty bad but better than most places. And it's centrally located. I mean Campbell co has one long trip to Montgomery Co this year. However it still gives mason a competitive advantage to get to play @ home.

I won't necessarily dispute that because familiarity is always nice. But I don't know that it's as big of an advantage as it used to be. Many of the 10th region teams have played at the Fieldhouse numerous times. I know the year Pendleton was really good, I think they played 5 or 6 games at the Fieldhouse (tournaments and regular season). Augusta also played several games there a couple years ago and Montgomery has played in the Mike Murphy Classic. And the crowds at the Fieldhouse during regional usually has a really good draw from all fan bases. And for the most part opposing fan bases seem to like to form an "allegiance" to root against Mason County whenever they play. :sarcastic:

This is not 100% confirmed yet but over the summer they will be adding on to the cafeteria to add restrooms and concessions area!

Any Solutions to the parking problem?? Tonight will be a mess im afraid!! With it being the biggest crowd of the tournament.

I don't think there will ever be a solution to it. I'm assuming that the bathroom addition will take out the grass space near the backend of the school.

People had to walk from the county barn which isn't that far really

I did twice, walk was refreshing. Most people could use a good walk to lose those lbs.

Way to look on the positive side

There are places for new parking if they have the money. By the board office, making three levels, The school side facing north by the greenhouse. That would be enough but expensive. What Bracken really needs is small auxiliary gym like Pendleton County

Thursday's game attendance will be wild to say the least. It will take some strategic planning for those who choose to attend.

From past experience, Augusta fans will start lining up shortly. Mason County fans may have to think about shuttle service from Germantown. Could probably get maybe 50 on a wagon, just think of it as a long hay ride.:thumb:

We parked at Taylor, in the front of the building too, because the side lot was full.

In the past, I've parked at the county barn and even the library, but never Taylor. I was worried we wouldn't even be able to get in.

There are certainly problems having it at Bracken County, and I think parking is the biggest problem, but I still like the current rotation. I would, though, have girls and boys games on a different night. At least I'd have the title games on a different night. Let the girls play on Thursday & the boys on Friday.

Overall, I think Bracken has done a nice job as host.

Has anyone mentioned how far more superior the concessions are when Bracken holds districts? Can anyone remember the last time they got a pork tenderloin or barbeque sandwich at The Fieldhouse? I honestly can't remember what they served last year, maybe they had those things or coneys or something. I just remember popcorn(2 billion sodium level)

I had a piece of pizza that was like eating a paper plate.

I think the Fieldhouse has Pizza and hotdogs (with sauce).

The pizza I was talking about was at the Fieldhouse.

The Fieldhouse has two concessions stands but I only see one open. They also have a lot of ticket booths but only two people working. And only one entrance

Hey the pizza is low carb Weight watchers, to help with losing LB, since you don't have to take a 5 mile hike there lol.

Kinda tough to hold a district game at a neutral site.

Now come on Papa, I'm sure we could agree to have it in the Bahamas. I'm there!
