Congratulations to CCH on advancing, at this stage of the season that is pretty much the only important thing…and staying healthy. Difficult venue to play in, smaller then most junior high gyms. CCH made some wise defensive adjustments and Holmes just seem to run out of gas early in this game, pretty much game over half way through the second qt.

Nice to read on here how many of the Holmes players are great kids on and off the court, I thought they showed class last night in a very one sided, season ending loss.

Good luck to CCH the rest of the way. Looking forward to what promises to be a very exciting 9th Regional Tournament, at least 3 and as many as 5 teams with a legitimate chance to win it.

Count me in as one that is very glad the 9th Region Tournament is held at NKU every year. If we could only convince the 9th Region to hold the boys and girls regional soccer tournament at NKU every year things would be much better.

It's funny that all the blame is thrown on the players. If you were at the game last night and several over the season you would know that it's not all the on the players. Who takes out their player with the hot hand but leaves in a player who seems to have trouble holding on to the ball, why would you go to a 1-3-1 when CCH is knocking down shots from the outside. Coaching also played a big part in this years season. As a coach you have to involve all the players on your team to be successful. These kids are use to winning and this is the first year this group didn't have a great season. These kids have won on every level they played until this year.

I'm a big fan of Coach L. But when he did and didn't sub players was one of the biggest reasons some people became upset with him in his final years at CCH.

I have only seen CVH play twice and both times were against Holmes. Last year in the regional finals and last nights game. Does this kid ever miss a shot? I feel like both times I have seen him play he rarely misses a shot. His mid range game is so strong, its fun to watch. James "Beetle" Bolden was the best player I have seen in this area in the last 10 years, and I don't think CVH is as good as him. However CVH is also amazing, and I love watching his game. He is definitely one of the best players I have seen in this area.

As Clyde mentioned above, going to a 1-3-1 is a good coaching move if a team is hitting outside shots against your man to man. With the way all these teams today love to shoot that wing three pointer, I am surprised more teams don't use the 1-3-1.

The best weapon Holmes had was the big boy shooting from outside. Blanking on his name right now. Maybe Brandon Moore. Nice stroke. Looked like Laimbeer stroking it from the top of the key.

Surprisingly, Markel was simply ineffective.

Holmes seems extremely limited offensively.

High school Laimbeer, or NBA Laimbeer? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

11-12 last night. Is 44.5% for the year.

I think he would be the first to say he has been inconsistent with his outside shot. Last night he was feeling it. One of his 2 3s was from about 23 or 24. No hesitation.

I do know this. Kid ain't scared of the limelight and he's not afraid of failing. He's a "Big Game Bob."

CCH shot 54% overall from the field. 46% from 3.

Aiden Ruthsatz had 13 points shooting 4/8 from the field. 3 3s.

12 boards for Mayer and 5 boards for CJ.

CVH shot the ball very well against us! He looks like he is ready for that state run. I have been quiet after our lopsided loss. We played awful; however the second and 3rd wave came to play and percentages just got better. Very deep and I like others think their only difficulty maybe a long athletic front court. No doubt the program is very rich in basketball talent.

Moore has a nice soft touch and puts nice rotation on the ball.
