February 22, 201610 yr Author I'm not worried about polls prior to Bush dropping. Rubio support will increase with Bush supporters and those looking for the candidate to beat Trump will flock when they see his support increase. 65-70% of GOP doesn't want Trump and they are looking for an alternative. There is an outside shot Kasich could be that guy and shock me. But I think a ticket of Rubio/Kasich with one being VP and other being prez is looking more like a inevitable result. Many publications still have that vote splitting with Trump gaining a portion. IMO Rubio has to make a massive stand on Super Tuesday, but I just can't find the state he wins. That's why I was asking.

A guy who has never come close to winning a state and a guy who many think should just drop out now are looking like the "inevitable result"? Not seeing that at all... I actually would be OK with that ticket but I think it is just amazing how people continue to discount Trump...we will know a lot more after March 1st...

February 23, 201610 yr So far this thread is rather amusing . Bush dropping out now means Rubio as the nominee is inevitable. The last key is negotiating the Kasich VP . Rubio is the nominee the Democrat leaders have feared and after all this mess he is in a seat ready to win. No one supporting Bush is going Cruz or Trump. I have said all along that the only GOP ticket that can win is Rubio-Kasich.

Trump HS maxed out support. I'm not discounting anything. The less people in the field the less chance he has.
February 23, 201610 yr Author What state does Rubio win? Honestly, the only state I see Trump losing is Texas.
February 23, 201610 yr People like Bash who argue for a Rubio-Kasich "dream ticket" are ignoring the fact that a major upheaval is occurring within the GOP. There ain't much support for candidates like McCain or Romney ... or Rubio or Kasich ... anymore. Which is why Marco "the Boy Wonder" Rubio hasn't won any states yet. After March 1, he's going to be spending a lot more time in the Senate.

I do agree that the more people in the field, the better for Trump. I don't think Trump is maxed out though. He will get some of Bush's, Carson's and Kasich's votes...maybe not as many as Cruz or Rubio but probably more than many think. The good news is that we will all see in the next 30 days or so.
