Wildcats Pig out on A. Williams-less Royals

This has happened to us before with a player out and many other schools too. I was told you had to lace them up and play and no excuses.

Yep. You play with what you've got.

Mason had a 14-point lead at one point, then Pendleton finally put the ball in the hands of the best player on the court and let him do his thing - Dontaie Allen. Scored 20 in the second half and had a game-high 22. Unsung hero for PC was Walsh with 18 big points.

Shooting percentages for both teams similar. Mason won the rebounding battle. So why the result?

Points off turnovers. Unofficially 28-0, Wildcats!

First half was all Mason. Allen was not held to 2, he simply only scored 2 as he missed shot after shot continually settling for threes that clanged one after another. Appeared to have no legs, nor energy after big win 24 hours earlier against Paris.

Coach Belcher went to a zone the second half, and had great defense out front grom his guards. Three consecutive trips in late 3rd resulted in steals and buckets. Allen found his game and began penetrating and scoring in the paint. Great 2nd half to look like one of region's top players. PC outscores Mason by 27 in the second half to win going away.

The Tale of Two Halves. 1st...Mason 37-27. The 2nd...Pendleton 50-23. Impressive win for tournament ready Wildcats.

Can't really judge this game without Pig.

No judging, just see that the Wilcats got a good result.

Coach Beecher is doing great things at PC. Great win for him and his team.

How long is Williams out, because the districts start next week?

Plays in the district tourney.

I'm glad to hear that because I picked Mason in the Sweet 16 contest, lol.

I'm sorry.

Great win for the Wildcats! Allen was Allen. Wood was Wood. Grant Walsh was huge on both ends of the floor. Four players scored in double figures. Mason Dennie continued his steady play. Browning hit the boards harder than I have ever seen him. Daugherty hit some big shots like he often does. It was truly a team effort.

Good luck to the Royals and Coach Biggs next week! I hate to see either Bracken or Mason eliminated from regional play.

Pig will make up for missing last two games and unfortunately Bracken gets to feel his wrath!

You are probably correct.

I'm sorry.

Did I make a mistake? I'm from a different region and don't know much about the 10th other than reading scores and BGP material.

Mason County has always been a program that is hard for me to pick against. They've been so successful over the years.
