February 15, 201610 yr MLB all star is the closest to a real game than any of them. With that said I do enjoy the NBA all star game.
February 15, 201610 yr I just can't watch much of these games. I watched about one quarter. You are a better man than me. I literally watched about 2 minutes and thought this was about as stupid as anything I have seen in a while. Total joke. I love the NBA and the players are amazing but the All Star game is unwatchable to me.
February 15, 201610 yr Loved every second of it. Why would anyone want to see defense in an All Star Game? This is what I don't understand. An All-Star game is not supposed to be a defensive battle. It is supposed to show case the awesomeness of these professional athletes. Last night did exactly that.
February 15, 201610 yr I understand that your not going to see much effort on defense, but I wish that they would at least pretend to play some defense instead of allowing uncontested drives through the lane for dunks. At least put a hand up or something.

February 15, 201610 yr If the All Star game was "competitive" like a regular season game, I wouldn't watch it, more than likely.
February 15, 201610 yr Loved every second of it. Why would anyone want to see defense in an All Star Game? Because I want to see a BASKETBALL GAME, not a bunch of guys running up and down the floor basically playing H-o-r-s-e. I want to see the best shooter, rebounder, defender, etc. Know what I mean?
February 15, 201610 yr If the All Star game was "competitive" like a regular season game, I wouldn't watch it, more than likely. I'd still watch it but what we saw yesterday is what I prefer. I want to see them showing off and showcasing their abilities and skills. I want to see them doing things they don't do often in games. Like shoot from 35 feet, shoot 3s over and over and do dunk contest quality dunks in a game.

I see those things every night with the flick of the wrist.
February 15, 201610 yr If the All Star game was "competitive" like a regular season game, I wouldn't watch it, more than likely. I'm just the opposite. I want to see the best go at it, seriously. But, as I always say, I'm old school.
February 15, 201610 yr Yeah, get the NBA League Pass and watch as many regular season games as you can like I do. I see those things every night with the flick of the wrist. Ya know PP, I used to watch a ton of NBA back in the day. I just don't like the product any more. I guess the last time I paid a lot of attention was in the Pistons' heyday........yeah, I know, I'm old.

Yes, I like to watch the skills stuff as well, just don't call it a game. Call it a skills competition.

I guess the last time I paid a lot of attention was in the Pistons' heyday........yeah, I know, I'm old. I grew up watching Magic, Bird and Dr. J. I thought the product suffered during the 90s and a lot of that was because I think the league became a defensive league. There was some brutal basketball during that time. I feel like now there is more overall talent in the league than ever before but I also think the basic fundamentals of the game are pretty low. Long story short, I think the NBA now is at its best it has been since the 80s. I haven't been this entertained by the NBA in quite some time and for me being a Laker fan that is saying a lot considering how awful they are. :lol2:

I like to watch fundamentally strong games. As a young man though, I LOVED the ABA which was a very innovative league at the time, go figure!
