February 12, 201610 yr I am a non-smoker, but have always enjoyed the smell of a good fragrant cigar or pipe. I play golf with some guys who will smoke a cigar and I have thought about maybe joining them every once in a while. Now I have puffed on s cigar or two in the past, actually had a rather expensive real Cuban cigar a few years ago a friend game me, almost made me pass out was so strong and really wasn't all that pleasant smelling either. Anyway, what would you cigar aficionados recommend to someone like me? Looking for something mild, fragrant, towards the sweeter side. KY Gentleman cigar company is located right downtown where I live and has lots of stuff in there, have thought about going in and looking around...any recommendations there?
February 12, 201610 yr Author Think I might have answered my own question after researching KY Gentleman a little bit. Still looking for other recommendations though. https://www.kentuckygentlemencigars.com/product/bourbon-cream/
February 12, 201610 yr If you want to get away from the sweet, flavored cigars at any point I highly recommend Macanudo Gold Label or My Father Flor de las Antillas.
February 13, 201610 yr Well I'm sure that helps him a lot. You steer him towards two cigars he specifically said he is trying to avoid. Geez.
February 13, 201610 yr Well I'm sure that helps him a lot. You steer him towards two cigars he specifically said he is trying to avoid. Geez. You obviously don't smoke cigars. The ones I suggested aren't strong, I hate full bodied cigars. These are pleasant, smooth and delicious. Just ask @swamprat.
February 13, 201610 yr No, obviously I don't :lol2: Egg on my face, that's what I get when my mouth gets in gear and I have no idea what I am talking about. :idunno: My dad had a friend who smoked cigars all the time. Every time he would come around my dad would say, "It must be going to rain, the hogs are carrying sticks in their mouths"
February 15, 201610 yr I want a cigar so bad I can't stand it. I have a few CAO's and a Davidoff Escurio in the humidor but it's too cold.
February 16, 201610 yr Swisher Sweets. These are not cigars, and don't you ever try to pass one off as a cigar. Big Man - get the Macanudo, you can't go wrong. LCDAWG - take back my birthday present

February 18, 201610 yr ACID Toast would be my top recommendation for a mild sweeter cigar. Smooth and mild with black cherry notes. Macanudo is always a good mild choice. Alec Bradley White Gold toast, cream, and cloves. Torano Dominico hints of nuts and cedar.
February 18, 201610 yr Author So I stopped by Ky Gentleman last Saturday and got the bourbon cream. Tried to smoke it outside before going in the gym to watch rec league games and it was so windy I couldn't get it fired up properly and had to put it away. What little I did get was fairly mild and the cigar itself had a pleasant sweet taste to it. Will try it again here soon when I can fully get it going and review it.
