What time frame is this drawn upon? And what are those teams overall winning % in the same period?

Or in the same gym for that matter.

From day one of the programs.

And Mason Co fans say there isn't home court advantage....:sssh:

Just remember Mason has had better teams over these years and their worst years they still win 10 to 15 wins. These other schools when they have bad years they win 1 to 5 wins. All home teams should have an advantage but this is regular season not regional tournament. Best team usually wins regional.

Or in the same gym for that matter.

That would come into effect for Bracken who has a new gym. Mason played a few games at Maysville before the Fieldhouse. Augusta and St. Pat same gyms.

That makes more sense, then; if it'sd over the life of the program.

And yes, I am very much a proponent of the "better team/team that plays the best wins" philosophy. Regional tournaments bear that out.

For what it is worth, here are the home winning percentages for the 39th District teams:

Augusta--48.8%

Bracken--59.5%

Mason--78.0%

St. Pat--52.7%

Draw your on conclusions!!!!!

Overall Winning Percentage

Augusta--40.3%

Bracken--51.4%

Mason--72.2%

St. Pat--41.7%

So based on the difference between overall winning % and home win % it is St.Pat.

I believe they have had three gyms since the 30s. Not 100% sure, but the Palace I believe was built in the 50s.

That's where I was going. Hard to blame winning %'s being due to hard places to play when there has been disparities between the quality of the teams.

Without knowing # of games home and away, mathematically not valid. However, with limited info, your conclusion is best reflection we have, giving:

Augusta +8.5%

Bracken +8.1%

Mason +5.8%

St. Pat +11.0%

Wow! Mason gains less advantage at home than any 39th District team. Whats the phrase? "Figures don't lie, but ______ ______".

Would love to see the breakdown between gyms.

See MC doesn't get all the calls at home!

Never did. And I've been watching them a while.
